Speaking of which, it's been nearly 24 hrs and we've yet to hear about a pro shoving a celeb's head down the bog for leading with a fleckle spin toe heel instead of a spin fleckle heel toe.

I hope what Carlos might have been trying to say was that bad things in life don’t take away the good things and vice versa. That the press just concentrate on the negative aspects of strictly and not the positive. But with English not being his first language, it hasn’t come across that way.

I think Carlos can sometimes be a bit clumsy with what he is saying as English isn’t his first language. I would imagine that it’s hard to see all the negative stuff in the press when Strictly is a massive positive part of your life. Carlos has clearly made some very close friends through Strictly and is finally able to live freely as himself. He always appears to be very gentle and compassionate so I can’t imagine he is meaning to be dismissive about abuse.

Following on from the last thread and the post about lasting friendships, I really believe Lauren and Krishnan have a 100% genuine bond. I loved their partnership and I love how he has continued to champion her. The journey Krishnan had last year is what Strictly is all about for me.

Nice. Very sensitively put. Shot? So violence is ok if it's for fat people. Next Graz will be claiming he was worried about Anton shooting Zara, that's why he made comments about her weight.

Honestly, along with Shirley claiming she's exhausted by the situation (so she can promote vitamin shots), I think it would be better if the strictly people didn't give interviews, then or now.

Did the BBC send their culture reporter to A&Gs show? For the reporter to then do an article which hints at Gio being cocky and also adds how the BBC have confirmed that Gio will not be back on Strictly this year?

I loved Krishnan. I looked forward to seeing him and Lauren every week. His openness and honesty about what Strictly meant to him was just so lovely.

A post upthread reminded me (this was discussed on previous threads) that Giovanni said something to Lauren on stage, when they were touring together about her having had a shite partner. She replied with something along the lines of well we got further than you did. What a nasty man he is.

I’ve noticed on Lauren’s Instagram stories she is always hanging out with others on the tour but I never see Gio with them. I’m guessing he won’t mix with the plebs.

It's just so bloody sad if Carlos has seen bad stuff bts and thinks thank god good partnerships can still exist and im going to prove it kinda thing.

The cynic in me did think are Kai and Carlos making it super clear that by being seen out so publicly with their ex dance partners that they're totally in the clear and want to prove it subtly but publicly, I know Nigels took Katya out for meals and again its fair and does no harm like why shouldn't they want to distance themselves from all the crap by putting on a united front kinda thing

Maybe with Kai but Angela S and Carlos have hung out loads since the show.

I have managed to learn what a fleckle is, but when I point them out to my youngest "ooh look he did a fleckle!" we usually end up rolling about laughing as the judges say how awful the fleckle was so now he thinks I'm a jinx! I only seem to spot the bad ones

Anton's comments on fat people is just part of that article. It's been out there for 16 years, but does show what an awful human being he truly is. Creepy, tone-deaf, insensitive and a bit snobbish. And it's icky that he was 41 and didn't know how to cook anything.

• I don't do junk food. I eat out every day and go to nice places where it's pretty good quality food.
• I don't know how to cook at all and am not interested. There's nothing in my fridge except milk, fruit juice and champagne, although I'm teetotal.
• Never clinically depressed, but I've felt pretty low listening to some of the judges' comments on Strictly. If things don't go fantastically, you just have to deal with it.
• Female everything. Dancing means getting up close to women - so I'm not worried about a consultation with a woman doctor. They make better doctors than men. They have more compassion.
• Give up smoking. Don't get so fat. So much illness is self-induced - which I can't stand. And I'm not a good nursemaid. Don't call me if you're ill.
• I'm in two minds about whether very overweight people should be refused surgery unless they slim down. They have paid their taxes and they're entitled to treatment. But maybe they should be shoved to the back of the queue if someone comes in with a condition which isn't the result of eating themselves to 400st.
• It's good for the body and the mind as long as it's not rubbish sex - in which case you might as well play golf.
• I don't mean to sound like a body fascist. In fact, it can be quite pleasant to have someone with a bit of wobbly flesh dancing with you.

When do they usually start announcing celeb names for the next series?

The past few years it's been around 4th August. The Olympics start on Friday until 11th August, and it's wall to wall coverage on the BBC, so maybe after that unless they want to do all the reveals on the radio and Lorraine.
