Yeah I'd say this duo act has completely ruined the whole channel. I stopped watching when she wasn't featuring much so I can only imagine what it's like now. Wonder why they came up with this awful idea. Probably because he was away so much.

He seems to be scared to be seen enjoying himself because of all the money he’s spending in case people say he’s changed but there’s only so many times you can moan about a luxury cruise or hotel before it looks disingenuous. Some things are nice, because they’re expensive. Not everything luxury can be mediocre or they’d never survive as a business. I’d enjoy his stuff more if he moaned where it was needed but was a bit more appreciative overall or just didn’t film when he didn’t feel like it. The world cruise was full of unhappiness about being hot and tired. It seems like he’s gone too hard into profit mode and taken the fun out of it for himself. I always wonder why YouTubers who have ‘made it’ don’t go into a proper production type job and slow down the video output when they stop enjoying it.

I wonder if he’s got a previous wife and kids in the background somewhere. Unusual for a straight man of his age not to have been round the block at least once before.

I’ve just unsubscribed after watching regularly for probably three years or more. I just don’t find his content interesting any more. Even when it’s something like the transatlantic crossing or New Zealand trip he manages to boil it down to something completely mundane. I think he’s very keen to be seen as not having any airs and graces but the dour Scotsman act (and I believe it is partly an act) wears thin eventually.
He’s also introduced Alicia into almost every vlog. It’s basically a double act now and as much as I don’t have anything against her I don’t think she adds anything either. He’s not the only one to do this of course, it seems to be a bit of a thing to start a channel, get some success with it and then start bringing the other half into it. They should remember why their original audience got hooked in the first place and as much as a new personality might attract new viewers there’s a risk that they don’t, or even worse that they’ll turn old viewers off.

I just watched their NC500 vlog from six years ago. Oh boy… what a difference!
They were genuinely happy back then. You could see it in their faces — the real smiles, the laughter, the excitement. They actually seemed to enjoy being together and sharing the experience. It was such a joy to watch.
And now… oh dear. What happened?
I honestly didn’t realise just how HUGE the difference was until I watched one of their old vlogs again. Seeing the two versions side by side is almost unbelievable.

Completely agree. Enjoyed the dour Scotsman act, the cheapness/ of the beaten track of where he visited and the fact that he was doing it as a 'single'. The vibe completely changed by introducing a partner and more upmarket destinations. They're all introducing a partner and it always ends in failure, as they move away from the original concept.

She's even in Faro with him the now. It's just turned into us watching them on continuous holidays paid for by mugs donating.
Is he scared she will leave him if he says no you aren't to be in my vlogs anymore.

She is irritating, her laugh is so fake. She definitely ruins the channel and I rarely watch now, if I do, I don’t watch it all. Much prefer Scott’s videos and although he has Blair and his partner dip in and out, it’s not regular.

I don’t find her that intrusive. She rarely speaks, it’s mainly just smiling to camera or commenting on their food. She’s just around. At least it gives Steve someone to bounce off. WalkwithmeTim’s partner is always jumping in and cutting him off and trying to take centre stage so that bothers me but Alicia doesn’t really push in. If my husband was spending all that time away doing amazing things and I was at home in my flat in a sleepy town working at M&S I’d try to get in on the business too.

also he might not have mentioned her because he's ashamed she's round about the same age as Alicja, maybe that's why they moved away from Edinburgh because he stayed in a council flat in a council house scheme (no shame in that) but people talk. It probably wouldn't have went down well a guy in his mid forties with a foreign girl in her early twenties. People might have thought she was getting taken advantage of.

Notice how Alicja wasn't on the boring trip to Stranraer but she went on the London trip.

To be fair ,I would prefer London to Stranraer.

He only follows 11 people and if you look a the young lady with the initials 'c-e' on her double barrel name with xx at each end I think it could be his daughter. They look alike and if you look at her 22 February 2025 pic in particular she has his exact same nose. Also he has mentioned a few extra "secrets" about easyJet in past vlogs and this person in question is cabin crew.
