I don't know when that photo was taken. Are the trees usually that bare in May in PA? I also don't know where that photo was posted except recently.
Anyone who is afraid to answer the door for a known planned delivery and anyone who hates standing in line for take-out and anyone who would rather have their drunk boyfriend call 911 than do it themself has some sort of anxiety going on.
I think, if anything, her mother hoped she would get over some of her shyness by living in the dorms and having more opportunities to socialize with people. I doubt she would have approved of her meeting Shane until she facetimed him, read his book, saw the video and read the blog.

Of course there is a huge benefit. Shane had done well with his career as far as becoming an author and starting a non-profit. He probably told her of his bigger plans once he realized she wasn't going to run home screaming. His 2nd book was about to hit the market. He was in the process of writing his Nurse book and needed a cover photo. Her travel would be covered. The YT channel would be used to promote the book and make even more money. She wouldn't have to get a job where she worked with a lot of people (which would exhaust her ... her dream was to own a goat farm). Could any of the campus guys offer her this?
I do agree that they seemed very concerned with the people who scratch their heads over this particular relationship ... more concerned than what their fans believe. If there is a fraction of the population that doesn't believe the relationship is "real", what do they care? Why keep addressing it? Why get reddit users banned and YT channels shut down?
Seems to me that they have something to hide. They spend way more time trying to defend their so called relationship, than they do interacting with their own fans. They know that they are on to a good number with this unlikely love story and are probably always worried about the tide turning the other way, when it comes to people beliving if they are genuine or not. The fact that they have to defend their relationship so much, makes it all smell rather fishy to me. If they are genuine, I don't see why they would be so concerned about proving that they are a real couple.

For me, the turning point from believing Hannah was a weirdo devotee to realizing this is whole relationship is a scam was the title of "their" house excluding her, then the price of it being twice as much as they told fans, then their zoom "marriage" with no officiant, witnesses or certificate to be found online, then his parents treating her like a paid caregiver instead of a future daughter in law keeping their son alive every day.

You can say they were work friends for 2 years, never had sex while dating and according to Shane himself, she dumped him when she came to her senses. But its also worth mentioning she has a career in digital marketing now and LAMN looks great on her resume.
Then add their inconsistent lies regarding his sexual performance, physical abilities, round the clock care. Her mothers servitude vs his parents coldness toward her. No friends around to corroborate how they are off camera. Their lies and manipulations regarding finances...They are making half a mil a year gross yet e-begging and crying over $1200 a year on shakes, plus he and his cousin stole $80k from his non profit foundation in 2018 alone.
If it was just one or two of the things above, we could excuse it with her being a weirdo devotee. But all of these questionable things combined are just undeniable. It's a scam.

Do you think the scam is meant to go on until they have, say $5 mil each in the bank and then close down shop? How did they know when they started that they would gain as many subscribers as they have? Or get as many sponsors? People have made some serious coin off of YT, but many have not. YT could close down an any moment or decide not to share the revenue with the creators
