Yes I too have spotting sometimes when I ovulate. I normally only ever spot when I’ve felt ovulation pain and know it’s happening. I’ve no idea why it happens but I mentioned it when I had my smear test and they didn’t seem concerned.

I experienced something similar a few months back, I was spotting exactly one week before my period was due. Light pink, not a usual period. I mentioned it to my doctor when I rang about something else and she sent me on the two week pathway for colposcopy because she said any bleeding outside your normal cycle needs checking. Anyway colposcopy was A Okay, and the consultant who did it said it was hormone related. Then as quickly as it started it stopped so I think my hormones just got out of whack for a few months. Definitely mention it to you GP to be safe

I usually spot a few days before my period is due. I only notice it when wiping, but I’ve no health issues

The most important thing is if this irregular for you personally you need to get this checked by a GP. Anything different to the norm for you needs to be checked. Without sounding dramatic, it could save you life 😘

For some women this is completely normal but if it isn't normal for you then maybe a chat with the GP might be in order just to be on the safe side.

This happened to me while I was in a no carbs diet, spotting and bruising was side-effects

It could be implantation bleeding but you are a bit early on in your cycle for that.

Is it red or brown in colour?

It is only noticeable when I use the toilet, the first time it was brown but all the other times when I wipe it has been a pale pink colour. It does not look like my normal period and there is no clots?

How old are you? I’m 43 and the last couple of months been experiencing this, I’m thinking mine is early menopause x

Hi I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what it could be?
I normally have a very regular cycle every 28 days and am on my period for 4 days like clockwork. I finished my period last Tuesday, but yesterday and today have been having slight cramp pains and this evening have been spotting. I only notice the spotting after wiping using the toilet and it is not like a normal period. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the reason?

I experience light spotting about 1 week after I finish my period each month, I attribute it to ovulation.

Interested to hear other people’s experiences. I’ve recently had a smear test which came back negative for HPV but had what I’d consider to be more than spotting a couple of days after ovulation (have started tracking in preparation for TTC).
