Could we keep all posts about this under a spoiler tag until after the weekend?

I went to a 9am screening as I was so excited and was worried that it would get spoiled for me. Like every Marvel fan, I love Spider-Man but Tom Holland has never appealed to me as a)I love Andrew Garfield’s version and b) I was convinced with this reboot, they would go down the Miles Morales viewpoint which is my favourite comic book adaptation.

oh my god this was so good. I felt like this had more depth than the previous two films, and our screen was CHEERING when Ned opened up the portals for Andrew and Tobey 😭 I thought the interactions with each other was so sweet and endearing, and just loved them all asking Tobey about his “natural” webslingers.

wasn’t too excited by the Venom after credit scene and the last after credit scene was only good for Wanda. The rest felt like a trailer?

I haven’t been that excited in a marvel movie since Rescue appeared in End Game.

I went to see this on Friday. I did accidentally spoil it for myself a little because I thought the Wikipedia page was a good place to check how long the film was. Plus we went for dinner opposite the cinema before the film and a woman came in with a group of kids who had clearly just come out the screen and they were discussing it all!

The only non Tom Holland Spiderman film I've seen was the first Tobey Maguire one so I didn't really know who everyone was but that was fine, I still enjoyed it.

Did anyone else think the bit when Andrew was cracking Tobey Maguire's back was included especially for the fanfic writers? 😂

It was fun but to be honest, for me, too much fan service for it to be great.
Tbh the entire MCU is fan service. After credit scenes… Easter eggs in backgrounds… their entire thing is fan service.

Now it’s past the weekend and most people know what the spoilers are, we can discuss openly!

Someone did this with me at James Bond. I was sat having a wee and someone came in, starting talking on the phone and I was like NO STOP NOOOO and I was mid flow. Couldn’t do a thing.

I found the back storyline weird and thought it was for the wattpad writers too. Turns out it’s because he hurt his back so badly in Spider-Man 1, they were unsure he could do Spider-Man 2. Kinda cute!

I saw it over the weekend with the kids and absolutely loved it!
I'd managed to avoid any trailers for it and was not expecting...
Aunt May to die -I sobbed. The other 2 Spidey's to come back - I squealed! And then when he has no friends at the end - OMG I sobbed again. It was an emotional roller coaster for me! 😂
I wasn't too sure about the Venom post credit bit, even though I love me a bit of Venom. Will have to see about the next Dr Strange too but I do love Wanda

I felt the same about the post credit scenes, however I am a HUGE Wanda fan.

Honestly I was on my feet when AG appeared. He is MY man!!!!

Oh my god. I loved it. We went to see it in 4dx (my first experience of that) and honestly thought I was going to be thrown off my seat during the fight scenes 🤣🤣

I cried lots and laughed lots. ❤

I loved it. My favourite part was his lawyer right near the beginning. I knew he'd be back but I didn't know it'd be so soon. Cannot wait to see where Daredevil ends up
