Any fans of SORTED Food on here? I really like the guys and it's the only food channel I actually watch because I like the guys as individuals. And I appreciate the work they put in to their channel and brand. Especially evolving their content to keep up with YouTube changing trends.

I love sorted! Binge watching their videos has got me through a hard time recently after losing my nan. I Love their dynamic and their banter. You can definitely tell they’re life long friends. A big yes from me!

Yes definitely great proper friends. Only long term friends can abuse each other like they do and it be just a good laugh.

Exactly! I can never pick a fave either. I think overall it’s Mike but I love all of them for different reasons. Ben is hilarious! His innuendos!

I’m a fan. Always watch their videos within a day or so of them going out.
Has anyone bought any of their books?

Here we are!
what video types are everyone’s faves?
I enjoy poker face, generally have at least one belly laugh. I’ve also been enjoying the quiz thing they were doing recently with bins as podiums.

Yeah I like both of those two. I really loved the chef skills challenge, I’d love to see them revisit that. Actually as much as I love all the different formats I do wish there was a bit more cooking.

They definitely do a lot less cooking and recipes and showing skills and more teaching stuff than they used to.

I get a lot of the recipes work they do now will be for the Sidekick App, and I'm not that fussed about recipes in general. But they should do more cooking, skills etc. Mixed in with all the fun formats that allows Mike to Huttlestorm and also be the creative force that he is.

Yeah definitely! I’ve never used Sidekick but I might in future.

I just had a look at their accounts and interestingly only Ben and Baz are directors (along with what I think is Baz’s dad and maybe an accountant or investor) - none of the other boys are. As of their 2023 filing they were very solvent with over a million in equity - that’s as far as my understanding of accounts goes though 🤣🤣

I quite like sidekick. I did a free trial years ago and couldn’t get on with it (boring reason that won’t make any sense to anyone who doesn’t use it) but then they had a Black Friday offer last year which was 50% off and I’ve really got into it since then.

The other guys can still be shareholders even if they aren't directors I'm pretty sure.

But it clearly does well for them. I do wonder how much the app makes for them specifically. Because I"d be very curious about how many people actually use that.

it’s only got 375 reviews in the App Store so can’t imagine its loads. And the cost isn’t THAT high. I think the normal price is about £50 for a year. It’s a fair bit of work as well, they are always posting about recipe development. They have to do the recipe, write it up, take photos, have the voiceover instructions recorded. You can also review the recipes and upload pics so someone has to approve them. It’s not like it’s something they made and involves no work for them anymore.

I have the App, it is very good and can save you a lot of money if you use it correctly. I go through fits and starts with it, it's also very handy for getting ideas when you see something on offer in the supermarket. I do think it's one of those apps people start off using then just keep paying for because they have forgotten about it.

Love the boys though, them and Golden Girl re-runs got me through lockdown and if ever I'm feeling a bit low their Sia skit cheers me up no end!
