I still can’t believe they texted the landlady/ex partner instead of calling. I imagine the call was their one chance for them to convince her. She wouldn’t have had a chance to google them if they’d have phoned her either. Idiots. But I think as another user said it was all a bit sob story. A friend of mine was due to go to disney world this month, when everything first started happening she was pro active and called disney and they moved her full booking with dining to next year.

she literally had paid the £100 deposit. When they came back she went on a selling spree because they were moving to Scotland and said wouldn’t it be amazing if I sell enough so we can afford to put the deposit down for our holiday
