We’ve just found out that my 4year old son with suspected autism, will have the same teacher who he adores, when he goes back to school in September. She’s a fantastic teacher, I’m really happy 😃

My ten year old hasn’t had a seizure in two weeks.

Probably just jinxed it but he’s not gone this long without one in a looooong time ❤❤

I got rid of the final thing that has forced me to stay connected to my toxic ex, for over a year. I could not be happier to be finally free.

It's nice to read a thread about good things!

Mine is very mundane but we had homemade burgers and jalapeno cheese melts (thanks Aldi!) for dinner and they were bloody awesome 🤣 plus after a shitty breakup just before Easter I realised today that I've finally stopped feelimg actively sad about it and my glass feels half full again 😊

Iv just reconnected with an old friend during lockdown. We used to be friends about 15 years ago but lost contact. It’s so nice to catch up and to both want to continue the friendship.
I think so much bad has happened just lately, that thinking on positive things is such a lovely idea and it helps with mental health xx

Not a lot of things are happening (in my life lol) but it's always mood lifting to think of the good things, no matter how small they are.

Mine is that I finally went to the beach (just visited no swimming😂) with my family, and most importantly i have been sleeping in my bed after 21 days of bed bug infestation (fingers crossed they don't come back, nightmare😢)

On Sunday I drove miles and miles to surprise my mum on her birthday. It was horrible not being able to hug her, especially when she cried (happy tears!), but it was such a wonderful day. I haven't seen her since the beginning of March when she was diagnosed with Coronavirus and was really, really poorly. I've missed her so much ❤

I have 2 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters that I haven’t seen or spoken to for 6 years (long and complicated story) but last week I finally managed to get their mum to agree to let me have a relationship with them! I finally got to see them on FaceTime last night and it was so special, one of my brothers is autistic and I got to hear him talk for the first time and my twin sisters are now teenagers and so grown up and beautiful 😍 my heart is so full!

We went for a socially distanced walk with some friends yesterday and it was so good just to laugh and forget about what was happening in the world! Havent really wanted to meet up with anyone because I thought it would be difficult not being able to hug them or I would feel awkward because I havent really got much to talk about. But I'm so pleased we did 🥰

A bug infestation sounds horrible but the beach sounds lovely!

my nice thing is that I met my friend for a social distance walk to meet her new puppy. I haven’t seen a friend since March so it was lovely! And now I’m drinking Prosecco waiting for a Chinese!

My cat was hit by a car and a I missed him so much, I was ready to get another cat but I wanted him to be confident and bubbly and loving like my previous cat and not cold and reclusive like my other cat. They’re pretty expensive and I would have hated to feel disappointed as it’s not the cats fault however his personality is. Brought him home and he’s exactly how I’d hoped, brightening up my days already

I’m spending by my work “lunchtime” writing, to the point where I’m making some decent money from it. It’s really helped me realise that I want to change paths once I get made redundant in September.

I met a childhood friend from school and her mum passed away when she was young. I paid for her to have a drawing done of her mum and daughter together (it was a dream of hers to get one done). As soon as I gave her the drawing she was in tears, it’s so nice seeing someone cry happy tears for once, she was grateful and it reminded me that life long friends don’t need to be seen daily, they’re always there when you need them! 💗

For me it’s being able to find something achievable to do during lockdown life, and that was following a low calorie diet (Exante) to make some actual weight loss. I really want to make a lasting change with my weight, relationship to food and most importantly my health after losing my mum earlier this year. I’ve managed to lose 9lbs three weeks in and hoping to lose 15lbs more and close the chapter on my wobbly 20 year relationship with food and body image.
