If anyone needs a new year laugh I once had one frozen off my arsehole by my gp. It was AGONY and the pain lasted for two weeks 🤣🤣🤣 more excess skin from a bad birth than a normal skin tag but it made my mates laugh all the same.

I have one, on my collarbone area. I had another one on my arm area (I think) which I pulled off, I don’t even know how I managed it but I put dark nail polish on it which is supposed to suffocate the skintag and then wiped it off a few days later. I don’t recommend this as it’s not safe for your skin, although I personally had no issue. I also put a bit of cotton on it. A few days afterwards, I noticed it was getting a bit shrivelled... squeezed it and twisted it slightly and it just fell off! 😬 There was a dot of pus and then it bled and was tender for the rest of the day but it’s been completely fine since and I’ve never got it back in that area. I still have the collarbone skintag because it’s a bit fiddly to put cotton on to suffocate it. I think tying cotton around it is a safer way to get rid of them, but the internet warns against it and says you need them taken off professionally.

I had one right underneath and between my boobs! 😂 hated looking down at it in bed so I tied cotton round it tight and after a week around abouts it dropped off. I’ve got another one on my arm pit but I can’t see it so I just forget it exists lol.

I used to have one on my neck and I think I got it because the collars of jumpers and t-shirts used to irritate that area. I tied a bit of cotton around it and it fell off after a while.

My mum has them, she did the old wives tale of a dandiloin stork and they went black and fell off. Looks odd for a few days but seems to work!

Really interested in the replies to this, I’m 38 and feel like I’m getting more and more as I get older - neck, chest, Armpits, my moles are also getting bigger, I’d love to have them all removed! X

I have a few but only had one removed as it was in an uncomfortable area, it was painless really. They numbed the area then 'burnt' it off (if that's the correct term).
Absolutely no issue since, and has never returned. This was probably in 2016 so a good few years now.

I have one on my back, just under my bra strap and I’m really annoyed and embarrassed by it. I’ve never heard of cryotag but I’m definitely ordering some! Just reading the review now.

I bought Cyrotag from boots and it worked great on a couple I had that were really irritating - one on my chest and one in my armpit. I have had others that have fallen off themselves but they have been mostly due to the seatbelt rubbing on them or something like that. You can also have them removed by your doctor if they are quite large

You can buy a small gadget, new off ebay mine was about £7 free p&p. Mini freckle pen. It gets rid of any blemish/mole /skin tag etc. Absolute bargain, will save you hundreds of £ over the years. Its like a laser that kind of burns them off in the same way you would remove a tattoo I think. I've used it and it's magic, so precise. I used it on lots of moles on my face and a friend's skin tag.

I had one on my eyelid that fell off but then grew back. I went to the dermatologist and they froze it. It fell off after a week or so and hasn't come back.

They seem to have multiplied the older I have got. I have got one just under one of my boobs and it makes wearing a bra really uncomfortable. I wish I could just get rid of the damn things.

Does anyone else suffer from them?

How have you treated them? And have they come back?

I have several mostly around my neck area some of which are tiny a couple are a bit bigger and more noticeable. They don’t hurt or anything but they irritate me more knowing they are there and I feel like the texture (for want of a better word) on my neck is a bit on the rough side due to them.

I get the odd one under my boobs ( larger chest) and occasional one under my arm (not the arm pit just above if your arm was held up) but they don’t bother me so much.

I have treated them with cryotag with has worked on most but some still come back. I know I have gained a little weight which won’t help but I remember having them when I was a teenager or maybe around 11/12 and having them taken off at the doctors and those ones never came back. I definitely wasn’t over weight back then if anything the opposite. Am also aware from research clothes rubbing against skin can course them too.

Are some people just prone to them? My parents do get them so I’m thinking they are heredity my mum isn’t over weight at all but my dad is so I don’t know.
I got my first skin tag when I was in my early 40’s. I never had them before.

Bloody things, but after reading the replies, I’m glad it is not just me who gets them. 🙄

I had one on my nose. Imagine my shock when I pop to my hospital appointment to have it removed and they tell me they are doing it under a general anaesthetic. They said due to the area it would be too painful for me to remove while I was awake and an ENT did the surgery.

I've used the skin tag remover before. Had quite a few in different places. All fell off and haven't had them since - this was about 9 years ago!

I’m so glad I found this thread and the post recommending using toothpaste in particular. I put some on one I had on my neck overnight for 2 nights and it’s pretty much gone already. Would never have thought of using toothpaste! I used cryotag on a couple I had a few years ago - it worked but I found it quite fiddly and a little sore

I bought something off amazon called Tag band which is a tool which helps place a tiny rubber band around the tag, a little sore when you first use it but worked really well on the big one I had on my neck which was starting to irritate
