Need to rant, apologies in advance..

I’m 28, and had a “boyfriend” when I was 19, and by boyfriend I mean actually went out with a boy for a few months, then spent the next 3 years on and off, one minute together, breaking up, shagging eachother again, then not speaking. So basically I’ve been single my whole 20s lol.

but now my family are really on my case about not having a boyfriend or looking. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been on a off dating apps my whole frigging 20s and seen people from them, never going anywhere though. Then my folks constantly ask me why don’t I try online dating - they are in their 50s nearly 60s and have no idea of the struggle 🤣🤣🙄

my family also badger me about why I haven’t found someone at work ... errrm because I go to work to work?! Although I have seen casually a few co workers again over my career lol.

So my question is, has anyone else experienced or experiencing parents that are pestering you constantly to find a partner to the point you just want to knock them out?! Especially when they have NO idea what dating is like in this day and age 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh yes!

Be strong - you will face this from EVERYONE!
Urghhh literally lol. I live on my own so my parents are my support bubble and pop and see them a couple times of week but this single topic is just coming up in conversation more and more 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Lol. Yes i don’t particularly like being single either but I’m not going to settle with a arsehole just to please my parents and shut them up 🤣 plus we are in a national lockdown 🙄

What do they propose you do - in lockdown?

I think maybe they are just really bored that’s why they have turned to you.
