You have to work out if it's worth it. I used to make candles and melts, and my being based in NZ meant the shipping was upwards of $20 to most places (aside from NZ, Australia and the Pacific Islands). The odd person was happy to pay it, but it just became too much effort for very little reward in the end, so I stuck to selling via my own site and Trade Me, an NZ marketplace.
If you're in Europe or the US, then I'm sure it would be very worthwhile.
