Accidentally accepted a low offer so said “please don’t buy I didn’t mean to accept” so she sends me this emoji…

I say £20 is my lowest (it’s a gorgeous quality hoodie that was £55 new, it’s sold out and I’ve worn it once - I also only put it as £25 to account for the offers)
she replies here “it’s LiTeRalLy £14 online” as if she can buy it rn for £14 and as if the £14 was retail price and i’m lying when actually the £14 online was the clearance price (which is right next to the RRP which I paid, like you’re making out like i’m lying when anyone can google it and see it and I can show you the tag and my receipt. If I paid £14 for it on sale then it would be priced accordingly you clown)

I wanted to reply “£14 LiTeRaLlY on sale” Like if you want it that bad then buy it and if not duck off. It’s sold out for a reason, I don’t mind waiting out for a tidy tart - I’m in no rush love.

Go buy one that’s got fake tan round the hood and pasta sauce down the front for £6… anyways i blocked her, my first block 🏆

What would you TTs do:
Received a co-ord today from a premium brand that is dry clean only. It has a mark on it and is actually a size bigger than stated on Vinted, but I know the brand runs small and it fits me fine.

However, I now have to pay as much as the co-ord cost to get it dry cleaned. Messaged the buyer and she confirmed she didn’t get it dry cleaned so I guess the mark will come out.

What should I do? The size thing isn’t too big a deal, though I’m currently losing weight so bought the size I thought I was buying knowing it might be a bit snug but fit soon…

Told the seller about the stain and the size issues and she’s not offered any way of solving. Are partial refunds even possible?

I want to keep the co-ord but feel short changed as I’ll have to foot the dry cleaning bill.

Finally went through my vinted bag and got everything listed... Sold so much stuff, over 20 orders dropped at evri store, £290 sales in the past week! I have 6 orders since Saturday and honestly lost the motivation to sort labels and pack it all up, it's a second job at this point. Autumn winter stuff selling really well already

Well done @saltandvinegarcrisps 🙌

I've sold 2 on Vinted and 1 on eBay in the last week, which is a record, one a high-value item at my list price after receiving loads of lowball offers.

What do you guys do with your sales earnings? Do you save it or spend it on upgrading your wardrobe?

I've kept a record of every sale since last year on Vinted, Depop, eBay, Vestiaire, FB groups etc, and I've totalled £2,450 since January 2023. I record this in a spreadsheet. I was just flinging it all into my emergency fund savings account, but actually decided to separate my earnings from my actual savings as I have a specific savings goal that's based on my salary. Now I've moved my earnings into another savings account I wasn't using which has a higher interest than my emergency fund account.

I want to use the sales to upgrade my wardrobe, but I successfully did a no-buy month in August and I've decided to go for another in September.

Yeah, pretty typical. I find their tracking is reasonable if you go on to the more detailed page. Often bounces around a few places before it gets to you/ the locker.

I'm still waiting for Yodel to get their act together and deliver my bloody parcel 🤬

Inpost is a joke. I’ve been waiting since the 4th, 0 updates and customer service tell me to go to vinted and then vinted tells me they conveniently can’t help unless it’s been 25 days.

Oh 🤬
Well I think the delivery of teenage strop is a definite thing 🤦‍♀️ thoughts and prayers please 🤣

I was tempted to respend some of my earnings back on vinted, was looking for some mini Uggs but everything seems to be posted by fake accounts and all the photos are taken outside! So strange. Given up and withdrawn, arrived in my account same day! going to stick to selling as buying gives me the fear. Too many people flogging old crap or fake listings now.

I guess my tips for selling are sell things individually, no bundles, price low for a quick sale (it all adds up) ive only got up to 5% off on bundles switched on. I've sold a few jackets, sons old trainers some nice jumpers and blouses I just don't get the wear out of. Take photos of them hung up on a hanger against same background with good lighting, and take photos of the label so people know exactly what they are buying!

Can't keep up the level of sales mainly because ive Decluttered to the max now. I'll get some old costumes on before Halloween (Spider-Man Batman etc) and probably some grown out of next pjs from my sons drawer as just bought him some in next size up!

My overall earnings aren't amazing since I've been using vinted on and off for about 2-3 years now, find it a great tool for getting rid of stuff that would have been donated to charity before vinted was invented.

Yodel really can F themselves. Only courier I've ever had lose parcels, and my most expensive sale hasn't moved since the 30th August 🫡. Can't even claim until October. Brilliant

Woke up to THREE unexpected sales. Got another one who's made a scruffy offer but it's something I just want gone so made a counter offer to meet in the middle. She probably won't bite though. I've made £110 this week. Got MORE stuff to list. I'm fuming though cause just before I discovered vinted I gave away 5 boxes of nice stuff to charity and I'm thinking I could of made a few hundred off that. I honestly don't know how I coped before vinted 😂😂

Parcel was returned to sender as there was no room at my chosen locker but now it’s asking me to confirm delivery? Is that rite? Do I click I have an issue?

For my fellow Whatnot-ers in the thread, just seen there’s a £10 off £25 promo code to use this weekend! Time to buy more stuff I definitely don’t need 🙂
I saw this and went oh bollox 😆. Don't need encouragement to spend more there dammit!

I pop mine into a spare account, then use on day trips/activities or more special items I can save for. Current pot is going to xmas markets, bicester trip etc ❤
