What were Kym Marsh's issues that she noted in her autobiography she couldn't discuss 'for legal reasons'? She said she couldn't go to Oman with Hear'Say as 'her kids needed her'. I got the impression it was something to do with custody row with her ex, but not sure.

I would just like to clarify on my earlier post about Michelle Obama.. I just fell down a weird rabbit hole on tik tok and in no way was it a racist slur etc, it just shocked me and I was wondering if anyone else had heard it. I think it's just a malicious rumour and loads of people probably have heard about it as there were videos circulating trying to call her out on it! Some people go to drastic lengths and have too much time (and hatred) on their hands.

I've seen the rumours around but never heard anything concrete. Weak connection I have to them was my PhD supervisor's sister was the then Democrats chief photographer. So back in early 2007 my supervisor was telling me all about this guy and was a shoe in for the next president. Only wish I'd made a bet then and there!

She's struggling to stay relevant. She was living the dream life in America until the work dried up. Looks like she came back here expecting loads of interest but there's been none. Anything for attention now.
Continuing the subject of age-gap relationships, how about Creepy Jimmy Page and his girlfriend, Scarlett Sabet. For a man who consistently resembled a drowned rat throughout the '70s and '80s, he's had no problem finding women. I guess that's #rockstarlife

In fairness, she's old enough to make her own decisions about relationships and they seem happy enough as a couple, but the same certainly can't be said about Page's earlier ''girlfriend'' Lori Mattix. The media insist on calling her a 'groupie' which is disgusting because I believe she was about 13-14 at the time, and Creepy Jimmy was about 30. They look weirdly similar in this photo, but I think it's just the hair. Anyway, according to another underage 'groupie', Lori became distraught when she discovered Jimmy was sleeping with another girl. She believed they were in love and didn't have the emotional maturity to cope with the reality of being involved with a rockstar. She was vulnerable and this shouldn't be justified because it happened in the 70s. 'It was a different era' is not a get-out-of-ethics-free card.
Jimmy Page has a thing for much, much younger women. There's also his ex-wife, Jimena Paratcha. They had a few kids. I don't think she was a minor when they got together, but the age difference is obvious.
Again, she's the one in the photo who looks like his daughter. If this is what JP is happy to show in public I hate to think what he keeps private. He may be a talented musician, but he's dodgy af as a person. He's known to have made misogynistic comments (not recent - this was back in the Led Zep heyday), but this is always glossed over during any conversations about him or his relationship to women.

I have a feeling - not based on anything other than that - that Rupert told Jerry he wanted a divorce because she annoyed him in some way. Her feelings, pleas, desires, protests, wouldn't be considered; once he'd made the decision, that would be that.
I don't know him (obviously!), but I do know of his type. I worked for a very powerful (albeit on a far smaller scale) and cruel man just like him and he would get annoyed at the most ridiculous of things and punish me for them ... e.g., having a conversation with someone in the office about their weekend, or wearing a shirt with patterns that he didn't like. He was just hideous.
Richard Kay's piece in the Daily Mail talks about how Rupert didn't like Jerry resurrecting her modeling career last year, or appearing in Antiques Roadshow - yep; sounds very much like the man I worked for. Rupert would have been offended by her doing these things (it really does seem ridiculous, but that's exactly what the guy I worked for was like. Actually, I remember one time he called home and his wife didn't answer the phone and he spent the afternoon trying to hunt her down, canceling all his meetings in the process [turned out she'd popped out for a walk, which she made sure never to do again]).
Jerry had her own money - sure, nowhere near as much as Murdoch money - but enough to retire very happily on; I honestly don't think she went for Murdoch for his money. She probably liked that someone so rich and powerful had taken an interest in her and it went from there.
I think James, the son with glasses is the more normal of the two; Lachlan (the one married to the lovely Sarah) is cut from the same cloth as his father. I think Daily Mail likes to drop little hints that Lachlan is cheating on Sarah; if so, I hope she takes him for everything he has.

There is a whole thing on YouTube (originally, I think they might have been banned now) about claiming that female celebrities are actually trans. It started with, among others, Lady Gaga, but then expanded to cover essentially everyone, including some men (eg Justin Bieber).

Stephen Fry and his husband really gross me out. So creepy. Something quite sinister about Fry.
