I agree, I have the utmost sympathy with anyone who feels they have no other option but I was reading a comment thread earlier about a similar topic and one person mentioned a man who did it on Christmas day and I just thought really? You had to pick that one day out of all 365?
Another man went to bed next to his pregnant partner and she woke up to find him hanging in the same room. Surely even amongst the mental turmoil you can spare a thought for your loved ones who have to find you like that

Volunteering today and the shop has no air conditioning

For all the negativity (and 30 degree heat!) swirling in this country at the moment, posts like this go a long way to restoring my faith in humanity. I take absolutely no joy from you sweltering in the shop, but the fact that you've still chosen to turn up and put a voluntary shift in (despite the weather) is amazing
When you get home today I hope you have something very cold and very refreshing waiting for you in the fridge, as you bloody well deserve it!!

God this is awful, poor woman. My first husband did this but I had already left due to substance abuse, mental illness and domestic abuse, I had 2 young children who were at risk and had to go for their safety. He did it in the home and tried to arrange it so I would find him, which fortunately I didn't, also left a note which the coroner's officer offered me as it was taken from the scene as evidence. I refused it as didn't need to read how everything was my fault yet again. I don't regret not reading it at all x

Many years ago I worked on an Army garrison and we were under a heightened security alert at one time. My mother warned me to be careful of the men from IKEA - she meant Al Qaeda.

He had a partner and two children too, that poor family.

My mum woke up to find her husband dead next to her and once the ambulance were called, the paramedics had to break the news to her that it was a very deliberate overdose of painkillers.

She's never quite recovered because they were heading for a divorce anyway and his note barely mentioned his only child, my sister.

I have every sympathy for those driven to this action but the aftermath and still affect both to this day. It's dreadful.

I dont know if this helps but people who die by suicide often don't want to die, they just want the pain to stop. Unfortunately there just isn't enough help out there for people in distress and its not always handled well. Three members of my family have taken their own lives, I don't think they are selfish, I just feel desperately sad they never got the help they needed.

this! Having lived with suicidal ideation and having survived multiple attempts the pain is excruciating, it physically aches. I’m only alive now as I don’t want to pass that pain onto my daughter. But living everyday with that pain, no support no help despite begging for it, it feels impossible.

Aisleyne Horgan Wallace (I don't know either apparently she was on Big Brother??) decided to shove her face next to a mate's XL Bully for a selfie. A completely rational and sensible decision, I'm sure you would all agree

Talking of Aisleyne, I once had the misfortune of witnessing her ridiculuos entitled behaviour when queuing to board an easyJet flight at Edinburgh airport. She barged past everyone to the front demanding that she should be allowed to board first as she was a “famous” celebrity!! The staff member was totally unimpressed and said “I couldn’t care less who you think you are, all these people were here before you so get to the back of the queue”! I love when z listers get put in their place

In the mid 2010s, NHS trusts spent over a million pounds on those fancy Dyson bladeless fans (£400 a-pop at the time I think?) as management believed they wouldn't spread airborne pathogens, spores and dust.
By 2018/19 every single one had been removed from the estates and placed into deep storage.
Turns out the Dysons actually proved a much bigger Infection Prevention & Control risk. Much more of a risk than a traditional bladed fan you can pick up for less than a tenner.

And then people wonder why they have to wait six hours for an ambulance, and can't get a GP appointment the same week...

Don’t get me started. I work in the NHS and I love the NHS with all my heart, but the mismanagement of funds (in my Trust at least) is shameful. I don’t mean people fiddling and stealing money, just the waste of funds on stupid things.

There was a pretty good series about Michelle Mone on BBC Scotland.

Basically she was always a liar. Her company never did as well as she said. She claimed that their bras were used in the Julia Roberts film - they weren't. But noone corrected the story. She also wasn't that great a business women but people believed her

And this sounds like I'm defending her but I'm not - she wasn't the only one who got VIP contracts and supplied defective PPE. There were loads of them. I think she's become the face of PPE scandal cos she's a blond, working class glaswegian. There were loads of hooray Henry's who got contracts but you'll be hard pressed to find their names.

EVERYONE who was involved in the PPE scandal should be named, shamed and as a country we should be trying to recover the money.

It didn't end well...

I'm not entirely sure where the "F bone" is located? I must have been staring out of the classroom window at a pigeon or something during that section of the appendicular skeleton module, but I'm assuming it shouldn't be exposed?

Despite the seriousness of the situation I do take some comfort in the fact that "My Girl" managed to pull off a smouldering pout for the obligatory A&E admissions selfie

Forgive me, as I know there is nothing funny about dog bites. It's the sheer, unbridled stupidity of the situation and "aftermath" hospital pics I'm taking issue with.
