I know saying this is poor taste given it’s making light of David Bowie’s death but that whole ‘David is dead’ scenario playing out was possibly one of the funniest moments on tv I have ever seen I knew when I was watching it would be one of those tv moments you’d never forget also David furnish just lying sleeping in the bed and they thought he was dead!!

But this is a world of people who think their money and connections entitles them to doing whatever they want. And when you find other rich powerful people who like to have sex with children, you do all you can to preserve it. There’s probably some twisted sense of brotherhood even.
it’s undeniable that a lot of powerful people- police, government, law - kept Saville protected for decades. And he was someone who got a kick out of ‘hiding in plain sight’ - assaulting a girl on totp, and his general eccentric / creepy manner. I’m sure the odd crusader tried to be the one to get him, but it would never have gotten far.
There’s no reasons the same could be true of david Jason. From what many have said here, he’s got something of a reputation too. That doesn’t make him guilty, but since you accept that cover ups and corruption are rife always have been and that the police don’t protect and charge everyone equally, I don’t get why the fact he was in an incredibly popular comedy show is what you question ....?

As a child growing up in the North of England at a time when kids went out in the morning and stayed out until they were hungry or it was going dark, I was warned by my parents to keep away from a large house not far from where we lived. Its was a children's home and I was told it was bad place an not safe to be near. It did however have a large wall all around it and being kids we used to climb the walls and play there. We rarely saw children inside, just the odd face looking out of windows at us at play. We used to take the piss out of a very large man who visited along with others We were rude and called him names thinking if he chased us he would never catch us anyway. This happened over one school summer holidays, so around 6 weeks. I would say I saw him around 5 times during that summer but I was very young at the time. It came to a head when my Dad drove by while I was on the wall. He was furious, bellowed at us to get home. I was terrified, I wet myself on the way home. I was punished, I can still recall my Dad's angry, red face shouting at me. That fat man was Cyril Smith. My point is, even the locals knew what was going on in that house, surely the Police did too and nothing was done about it.

That it was that particular year she went in, after so many series, and that it created this unique moral dilemma where she was in the one situation where she wouldn’t be able to find out what had happened on her own terms...

And then that there happened to be a David in the house , WHO WAS FEELING ILL IN BED AT TIME , also meaning he was absent from the social areas when it all unfolded.
Utterly stranger than fiction, no one would ever buy it if it wasn’t true. So there’s an amazing beauty for the one in a million time everything slots together like that. Apt it would be for Bowie. He’d be tickled by it no doubt.

On the subject of MJackson, you only have to look at the patterns of his behaviour to see that he was a groomer.

First of all he would befriend the family of the boy he was interested in. He'd treat them like they gave him the family life he never had, stay with them, phone them when he was away. Then it was trips to Neverland or VIP concert experiences for them all etc. He groomed the family first.

Then phase two. The family would still get treats, but he would start to separate the boy from his family. In particular, the boy would be seperated from the mother. Stays at Neverland, but mum would be in the guest wing. The Boy in MJs personal wing. On special trips, the boy would travel with MJ. The mother would travel separately.

Coming between a mother and a child, trying to gain influence over a child that is stronger than the influence a parent has is one big RED FLAG. Parents are the main obstacle to any child being abused.

Finally, the family were discarded and the boy belonged to MJ. Until they got too old for his tastes, then they were paid off.

This pattern happened over and over again throughout the decades. The guy wasn't just a bit weird, he was a dangerous predatory paedophile.

You’re right. It was very careless of me to write that as I honestly completely agree and have for a long time..
Sex is the wrong word - to use it really trivialises the horror. For any kind of rape it’s completely inappropriate- rape is about power over another , not sex. I do feel especially stupid using it when talking about kids.

I guess the counter argument is that rape is implicit in ‘sex with children’ - it will always be rape.. But it should be explicit, and sex shouldn’t ever be the word used it’s still misleading.

I am sorry I wrote that - but I’ll leave it up and own my stupidity. At least it has allowed the topic to be addressed.

He Killed Her: Apparently, he confessed. He got drunk and confessed. He did so to the sister of the woman he killed who he was also sleeping with. He says he killed her because she was going to leave him and take the kids. So, since she already had issues with drugs, he just gave her a little more while she was already passed out and she never woke up. Apparently the sister is not the first person he confessed to. He also confessed to a celebrity ex-girlfriend who is an ex-girlfriend because he told her. She thought she was the only one sleeping with him while he was married, but he was also sleeping with his wife and his sister-in-law. At this point, the whole family knows, and has known for almost two years that he did it. That he killed this celebrity. So far though, the family is willing to sweep it under the rug for the sake of the kids. They had already come to terms with the death and even though he was the one who added the extra to kill her, they have convinced themselves she would have ended up dead anyway. There is so much drug death in that family.

Because paedophiles rarely operate on their own in a vacuum. They often have coconspirators - paedophile rings. A family member is a journalist and says that it’s been an open secret among journalists for years that members of the entertainment industry, the judiciary, and the royal family are all involved in child sexual abuse. But they can’t report on it because some of those involved are the people who run the media. It’s fucking rotten to the core.
I go to a regular support group for adult children of addicts and the other day, out of a group of about 20 people who spoke, 5 of them disclosed they’d been sexually abused as children. I was appalled.
It’s rife. In all walks of life. And it makes me sick.

Sorry but these "peadophile rings" are nonsense. This is something that you hear in the press and elsewhere but most peadophiles ARE solitary, no matter the scaremongering you may hear.

My background? I have worked with a computer examination department (more recently changed to the sexier Cybercrime!). For nearly 6 years I was one.of the forensic examiners that went through computers, phones, tablets,media etc to find evidence hidden on the devices/media. These were case from DA/DV, stalking,grooming, drugs,fraud etc but almost 90-95% was indecent images of children( not child PORN, as porn is.d.esigned to titilate,.excite and arouse, IOC does none of these). There were times when weeks went by and all you had seen were nothing but "skuddy pictures" of all ages!

Peadophile rings are extremely rare. Most do not want the risk of exposure. They may come into contact with others via sharing sites and forums, but the ideas of rings of like minded individuals is one beloved by the media as it stokes our fears and plays into our love of conspiracies, but very, very rarely is accurate. Not saying they don't exist but their prevelance is often wildly overstated.

I too doubt the DJ posts on here. This is not the past, there are dedicated Public Protection Units and child protection units in UK police forces, they do not care whether you are well known, or otherwise. If there is evidence it will be investigated.

I saw someone earlier, can't remember if it was here or PS threads talking about Snapchat and how it seems to be a perfect way to hide activity. You have to remember the whole reason it exists was to allow people to sext "safely". We referred to ot as, if you excise the expression,"Snatchchat"! That is where, no matter the denials,its origins lie. Especially around teens in America, where by incidents like the 14 yo girl you sent a nudie picture to a boy was charged and convicted of distributing indecent images of a child( technically correct).
