I can’t be fucked skipping through the video again. Did it confirm the baby does actually have an abnormality or is it still just a potential? Or the abnormality may be severe or just mild - but is an absolute definite?

I just get an ick feeling that all is actually okay now and this is purely to justify her baiting and to keep up engagement. Remembering this is Sarah who baited us and is very strategic on how she lies, shares specific things only and manipulates her audience.

this is rude. i’ve had 2miscarriages and to say the genetic issue that caused the miscarriages was the parents fault are just wrong and rude. how dare you?
No, you’re misunderstanding what my point is, that is absolutely not what I was trying to say. This is what it sounded like Sarah was alluding to by saying “not her or Kurt’s fault”.
I’m sorry for your loss. I too have lost a baby to miscarriage.

I definitely feel like it did not say it was definite. She said ‘99%’ chance but I don’t know if that’s the legitimate rates

I also get the same ick feeling!

See I just feel it will end up that it’s all “normal” and she is the “1%” and this is actually a scare/risk as opposed to a diagnosis and result. Just the way she has been carrying on since the initial bait makes me feel eugh about it, like she is exaggerating certain parts when all is going to be fine in the end. I hope I’m wrong though.

Sorry I just skimmed it again so edited to add..

She says the nest test gave her a 99% chance.. but that’s still just a screening result not a confirmed diagnosis. From personal experience of having an amnio, they have to send the sample away to be tested so results were not immediate. She is saying it like she got the results straight away which would not be the case.

I still feel she got the results and an all clear at 16 weeks. Hence the mania at that time. She is just not being transparent now because she had to put out this video as baited

A cynical part of me thought for a second that maybe the amnio/cvs was fine and she is lying about it, only to turn around and say ‘god is good!’ When her baby is born without the condition.

butttt, I don’t think even she would stoop that low. Right?

My thoughts on the video.
Obviously I feel for them it was very emotional to watch.
I just can’t with the baby voice Sarah puts on to gain sympathy. (It’s like a reversed version of Elizabeth Holmes ugh).
They both come across as still very immature and naive not grown ups who are already parents.

Kurt is clearly conditioned by Sarah that she is the decision maker in the house and would be way to scared to actually speak up and say “yeah nah I don’t want to be responsible for a child with special needs I can’t handle life as it is”. Sure at the end it’s up the woman to have her baby or terminate, it’s her body but still surely he would have thought about what this could potentially mean for all their life’s?

Regarding the doctor, I 100% believe he would have said that to terminate. He said “my recommendation is stop and start again.” You know why? Because Sarah has no issue falling pregnant easily. This wasn’t months or years of trying or IVF. She is young it’s luck of the draw and not genetic so therefor next pregnancy could be perfectly healthy. That’s what he said “start again”.
It was frustrating when she said one of the reasons she didn’t want to terminate was “because they were trying for this baby”. Uh
😒

I feel the same suspicions. I am so empathetic to the anxiety and heartache around decision making on a child’s life - I went through it myself this year.

However I just feel like things are being withheld.

This video was really hard but interesting to watch. I experienced a very similar thing earlier this year. I was delivered the results, and was given a few options. I can confirm that some doctors do recommend termination. My pregnancy ended in miscarriage.

I have to admire their strength, and that they’ve decided to go against what that one specialist suggested and do everything they can to give their baby a great life.

I don’t want to moderate AT ALL because you guys are bleeping awesome and everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I hope that it is understood that unless you go through something like that, you have no idea how it feel, how you would act or what you would do.

Xx

ETA: I saw someone mention that Sarah highlighted that “it’s nothing Kurt or I did” that caused it. It may seem odd to some of you that she said it, but when you hear or read this info, it is comforting in a weird way.
I feel sorry for you, and thanks for reminding everyone that nobody here is entitled to judge her for how she/they are handling their situation, especially while they were waiting for the test results.

Without trying to moderate, I feel like we really should still focus on calling her out on her BS instead of pitying her. Yes the situation is unfortunate, but she still baited, hyped it up, even manipulated her audience to take her side and garner sympathy even before the video was published, “the haters will have a field day”, “if you follow me for the right reasons, you’d understand”.

With that in mind, my suggestion for the next thread title-
Sarah’s Day #38 Sarah is anti-vax
Being able to share her experience might help her cope. All the baiting she did might just have been her trying to get her head around what is going on (in her own way). I feel very uncomfortable reading angry comments like this regarding such delicate matter.

If it’s Klinefelter syndrome, I very very much doubt the doctor recommended termination. It is manageable with a great health care team. Most people with it don’t even realise they have it until being diagnosed in pubity. Many appear perfectly normal and have no outward symptoms.

Everything about this video was off.. Kurt smiling and laughing, Sarah’s fake crying. I don’t doubt that receiving news like that would be hard, but this just felt like a massive performance. She could have easily dealt with this in the background and posted on socials like she is now and no one would have known, but her self absorbed ass had to milk this situation. She is so gross and pathetic.

To be fair she didn’t really have a choice after all the baiting. And as I mentioned earlier, I actually believe that the baiting was her way of coping. And someone else stated earlier that the smirking and joking might just be Kurt‘s awkward way of dealing with it. Sorry this might be an unpopular opinion.

With regards the affair rumour is was something that was really easy for her to shut down. Where as with the MC rumour, she may have felt it was hard for her to address. She wasn’t ready at the time to tell her viewers what exactly was wrong and by addressing the MC she would have had to have divulge more information that she wasn’t ready to share at the time.

I know Sarah speaks a lot of BS but in the situation I don’t believe she was baiting. She is still so young, and being online is so much part of her life she reacted in a way that’s familiar to her. I know from personal experiences I tend to keep talking about major things in a round about way as a means to cope and I genuinely believe this was her coping mechanism for a very scary and daunting situation.

Welcome new member! I find it weird you have an issue with this user making comments on such a “delicate matter” yet have made multiple posts defending Sarah baiting this said “delicate matter”

I don’t think the user above was sounding harsh or apathetic, more so drawing attention to how Sarah has handled this situation the last few weeks. The issue isn’t with her “sharing the experience” it’s that she has continued to bait and monetise it.

You’re right, it is a delicate situation! My heart goes out to Sarah and I genuinely am hoping the best for the health of her baby. However, what’s about the hundreds of women (probably more, and not just women) absolutely triggered by her baiting. Regardless of if this is her “coping mechanism” it is not ok to bait and monetise the situation like this.

For example, Emilee Hembrow, perfect example of sharing the experience (not saying there’s a correct way to do it). I only bring her up to reinforce that the issue isn’t with Sarah “sharing the experience” or whatever her “coping mechanism” might be, but it’s how she approached the situation. When her comments were majority of people reaching out because they thought she was having a MC, she said nothing. But when one person commented saying they thought Kurt was having an affair? This they immediately shut down. To me, this speaks volumes on her morals and priorities.
