All councils set their own rates. I know my stepkids mom is in a council house and it was set at maximum 15% income (excluding any increases for kids, children's allowance, maintenance etc). Her partner moved in and works full time and it was 15% of his net income plus €15 for her. Its since been reduced when they had another child. Other councils have maximum 10% household income, others are set figures. So cork county and cork city councils may have different rates.

i think it’s a percentage of income rather than a fixed amount, which is fair I think, cos if it was €120 a week, why should someone working full time pay the same as someone unable to work or on lower income. Percentage of household income is fairer

That was me , I’m right here. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m not Sarah. Look, I just don’t think it’s right to be talking about someone’s health when they have nothing to do with this thread. Yes, I know Sarah is the one that is sharing everything about her grandmother but the more we talk/comment about it, the more she’s going to show her. And her grandmother doesn’t deserve this. Betty doesn’t even know what Instagram is I’d say. She’s probably doing it for engagement, sure she has nothing else to post. Sad existence I know, but it’s true!

It was mentioned once and you’ve kept bringing it back up for about 5 pages now between this and council house talk this thread is getting stale!! We need more Shatina talk although I still get a giggle thinking of that ‘pew pew’ picture

Nope it's based on the household income. We pay €900 per month
