this is exactly Sam smith! They don’t get joy out of wearing or behaving this way, it’s only to feed from the reactions of others so every dress choice or song or video or appearance etc is specifically to feed on other’s emotions towards said choice. It’s like there is a void where their self comfort should be that they don’t have the emotional capacity to fill so they exclusively look outside themselves insteasI can’t deal with the attention seeking from Samit’s very clear he knew everyone would be wearing INCREDIBLE outfits - the type of thing he would usually wear (which wouldn’t be appropriate in another setting) therefore has gone for something as equally shocking in the opposite way. If he’d rocked up in sequin hot pants and a spandex pink top with heels, he’d have looked like everyone else, but he can’t can he? Can’t possibly share attention with other people. I fucking hate idiots like that

Thing is, Bowie wasn't a fat slob. Majority of singers back in the 80s were slim and stylish. Sam went from being slim and dressing well, to becoming overweight and showing off his ass in denim hotpants and wearing suspenders and a thong, it's weird.This is a good point because anyone can get away with most things if they have some panache and skill. Like Bowie for example. Sam just plonks on whatever for shock value but there’s no humour, skill or deftness to it- it’s just boring and cloddish and lacking individuality.
He doesn’t seem to like clothes or to have any individuality, it’s just an insecure, lazy, desperate grab for attention. So it isn’t fun to view either. Even though that’s the whole point of fashion!
