This amused me last night. Anyone remember when PP (Moran's husband) got trolled (in the true sense of the word) by Limmy and CM made a complete tit of herself over it? I think.it was around thr time of the "Twitter silence" in protest against harassment/treatment of women on the site which made her reaction (strongly implying Lommy would be hospitalised if he continued) even more absurd.

On an individual basis, I'd like to say that I have never sent PMs, DMs or commented on Sali's IG/Twitter etc in a negative way or offer 'feedback'. I have never sent messages to her children or husband. I have never written to the Telegraph or Graun in green, or any other coloured ink.

I have, on this forum, joked about the IronMan-esque endurance of Toryhub's penis.

Sali’s name has been misspelled in the title. I’m sure it’s a genuine mistake but I’d hate for La Hughes to claim it’s a deliberate dig or, worse, some sort of anti-Welsh sentiment, so can it be edited? @Yel

I used to know a couple of Welsh sisters who are a lot like Sali. Same look, same attitude - look at me I am something special I am. Same middle of the road taste. Same desire to be lauded. 'Look at my house! Look at my career! Look at my perfume collection! Look at my trite book! ' as though everyone should desire what she desires. Never have I seen a more unnecessary book than Sali's Hughes' Pretty Honest. It is hardly War and Peace is it? When I see any of these YT'ers or IG'ers is writing a book I wring my hands and say why?? why???? why?????? How many books about cleaning your home/decorating in shades of grey/analyzing your skin type/creating a capsule wardrobe can one take? It is not writing a real book. Don't care what anyone says. Write a real work of fiction or some literary criticism or whatever it may be but don't put out a book with big print, lots of photos and regurgitated information and call yourself an author.

Also, India Knight and her quote about having faces like sides of beef. The words Pot and Kettle spring to mind. Having spoken to her up close less than two years ago, I can categorically say she is no oil painting. Her angry partner was with her too. He is very short. Maybe why he is so angry. God knows how she writes a beauty column. She is an old hag.

So I really don’t buy this “poor Sali” routine that people are buying into left, right and centre, without bothering to check the facts. She is well capable of giving as good as she gets and has only gone on the defensive now as she got caught harassing people who dare to disagree with her. Her and her mates’ nasty comments about “skid mark” lives and IK’s offer of her thug husband going round to see people shows exactly who they are.

It’s amazing how these influencers make their own drama really. I’ve never followed Sali other than dip in and out of her column but I had noticed her rather authoritarian and virtue signalling tone popping up on social media from other huns liking her posts. It got me thinking why she is so determined (like CH) to be this right on female that’s 100% correct about everything and post those opinions left right and centre? That everyone has to agree with or the devoted huns will be set on you?? It’s ridiculous and not surprising that some followers have turned against being preached at when they initially started following for some light beauty articles.
I hope the scales fall from peoples eyes as people need to see these influencers for what they are - sales people that get very aggressive when their business is threatened. And yes it is a business, no doubt Sali like most others has a private limited company. And she’s rich. Very rich compared to most of her followers. As for the blindly devoted crew they are either other influencers or people with just no sense to not see the reality, happy with getting a like from their favourite influencer in insta like a bird getting crumbs.
Hopefully the elite influencer group (mainly white, rich and represented) will do enough damage to themselves through their threatening and thuggish behaviour online that it will completely turn people away from these awful women.

The most recent book about the Queen is utterly baffling to me. I’ve not so much as picked up a copy to flick through but looking at pictures of the Queen and writing about the colours she chooses to wear shouldn’t fill a column let alone an entire (albeit small) book. The subject matter is troubling for a Socialist () to begin with but then Sali dies like to surprise us with her u-turns in opinion, loyalties and tastes (depending on what she’s being offered) doesn’t she?

I think that CH and SH are cut from the same cloth in that they just aren't that bright. Combined with the determination to preserve their role as influencers; they're just shouty and aggressive without anything interesting to say and will go on the offensive, if someone no matter how politely dares to challenge them

Unlike most of Mumsnet, I don't have a legal background but I know how to read and critique a paper, seek out appropriate sources and defend my work and choices.

So, I’d never heard of this Hughes character until I was directed to her IG video by an account that I follow, naturally I had a gander, fell down the rabbit hole, and ended up here!

How can a person that advertises, sorry, ‘recommends’ beauty products, not disclose the fact that’s shes had cosmetic procedures in the past, completely disingenuous.
As for being bullied, harassed etc.. can she not see the hypocrisy here, she herself instigated a campaign of harassment against Esther Walker (Coren).
I’ve read through these threads in their entirety before commenting and not once, NOT ONCE, have I read what she purports to have been written about her, or her family!
