May I ask what has IK ever done as a "journalist" besides endlessly give her opinion? Is that ... it?
Opinions and advice. On relationships no less.
I'm going back and forth from her thread to this one, basically just wanting to do an all caps word vomit, but restraining myself. 🤬

The thing is though, nepotism notwithstanding, are any of those people who are protecting him not TOTALLY HORRIFIED at the state of him? There’s loyalty and then there’s... literally shielding a p*edo.

I can only assume he knows some inconvenient things about some influential people.

I honestly think it's all India related. I don't think she is a person you want to get on the wrong side of (in the media world).

He would have sought top legal advice when he was charged, and been told what (expensive) steps to take in order to appear remorseful, reformed, and a victim himself (poor Eric and his rugged and unruly temper and wee drinking problem). Add to that IK's media clout, and the writing was on the wall that he would not do a day in prison. The rich don't live by the same rules as the rest of us

May I ask what has IK ever done as a "journalist" besides endlessly give her opinion? Is that ... it?
Exactly, he almost bribed his way out of prison by paying for expensive therapy.

God, though. Why would she defend him unless he has something on her? If that kind of thing came out about my husband, I’d be nowhere near him ever again.

Is India influential enough to prevent work if one is repulsed by a paedophile , stops contact and speaks out?

I would say her step dad is, yes, and by default her too.

Well, exactly! This is the mystery! But like I said somewhere else who knows what it is like behind closed doors with a violent alcoholic.

No, don't restrain yourself. Do.
I doubt writing how they should all eat tit for lunch for the rest of their days will do any good. And I mean all of the them. From the person who gave this appalling sentence to those who pretended they don't know what's happening and wrote LUNCH on India's (now deleted) tweet, (it's on her thread). Or how I'd use him for testing covid vaccines. For a start. I'd then go into a whole sadistic catalogue, but it's pointless. And about India... what's there to say, if she knew about his search history and stayed, but insults that would make a sailor blush. In my opinion, the moment she didn't throw him out, but let him stay with her kid(s)?, she's become an enabler. Nothing, and I mean nothing, can justify staying with him. Especially, because she's not some povface who doesn't have anywhere to go or anyone to help her. In the povface scenario, though, he'd be in jail.
The media coverage, the spineless journos and self-righteous women supporting women on a liquid lunch tweeting daily about every bleeping thing they see and hear are now silent, the whole human kind should have tit for lunch!
:poop::LOL:

See, just angry ramblings, better save them for columnists. I've forgotten half of what I've now written.

It’s not the first time I have heard of that happen in a case like this. Just awful.

The police will be all over him on this, any sniff of wrong doing will be found out.
Someone I vaguely (and I mean vaguely) had a work connection with was sent to prison a few months ago for something very similar. We found out he had been done for a similar offence to EJ a couple of years prior to being sent to prison for re-offending when it came out in the local press. This person had apparently done the therapy, was trying / showing himself to be a an upstanding member of society but was caught by the specialist units that deal with stuff like this as he was using awful websites/ chat rooms I believe. I can’t believe it wasn’t picked up by mainstream media either because this particular person had some very well known connections. Vile.

It fills me with utter disgust. I would like to believe that IK and SH etc are all equally disgusted and we don’t know what conversations have been had in private and what the status of the relationships are now. Apart from what is played out on social ... I keep thinking if I found out my friend’s husband had done this I would be very torn, depending on her / his reaction and response. I’d support them (the friend not the perpetrator ), but only to a point. It’s just so fucked up.

Since when was therapy (expensive or any other kind) proof that someone has reformed or shown remorse? How is it any sort of punishment for such a heinous crime? I’m absolutely astounded that this violent man has basically got away with something so awful. And Sali, India, Caitlin, Marian and all the rest of the have nothing to say on the matter because - what, loyalty? Self interest? Ugh.

Particularly when they are so vocal about way less abhorrent transgressions for likes and retweets. Closing ranks around a p a e d o. For shame. Yet here is the worst place on the internet  Mothers following convicted child sex offenders. No big deal as long as he's a fellow blueticker apparently

It is silence & looking the other way that allowed Savile & others to get away with it for so long. Watching recorded child abuse for kicks is so horrifyingly depraved. Those babies & children deserve so much better than silence.

What do you reckon Caroline Flack would have got a custodial sentence at the same time that EJ waltzes free again? Does he have to go on the sex offenders register?

I can’t imagine CF would have received a custodial sentence for first ever offence. Think she would likely have been found not guilty. Sounded like a very messy incident, would be difficult to say she was guilty beyond reasonable doubt imo.

If my husband had committed a similar offence, I’m not sure I would want to talk about it in any which way on social media. I’m obviously not a journalist, celebrity or influencer, but still. I wouldn’t especially want my pals talking about it on social media, either.

I never thought I’d be white knighting IK, SH or indeed anyone, and I do completely see all the ridiculous double standards. Ordinarily someone committing an offence like this would basically be put in the stocks by the media. But yeah. Despite being one of the internet’s classic oversharers, I’d say a grand total of nothing.
