Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively #4 Bleak Lively and Cryin' Reynolds

Gosh this whole thing is so ugly, wish you were on Baldoni's legal team, I bet you'd share up those fkers they are fighting against.
That's nice of you to say but I wouldn't know my arse from my elbow 😆

What Baldoni needs to steel himself for is that Lively will not play fair. He apparently had avoided sharing some things as to not embarass her. If true, while I appreciate a man of his principle I am finding myself in the same position as his PR agents, who were exasperated with his belief that truth will win. He needs to work smarter, not harder.

I think they have a verbal acknowledgment of such texts as their file said no documents were produced between the 2 parties. ( swift and wayfer)

i think her dad gave them what they needed and they know where to find it without dragging taylor into depositions and court

The protective order is understandable but I also want the tea so badly

Odd they wanted the protective order but then was more than willing to threaten TS in exposing her messages

Popcorned Planet is going all out, first It Ends with Justice film, now this 😂
Lol, wouldn't be surprised if something like that happened, after all Taytay is allergic to actually speaking out in public and only lets messages be passed through her team/her handlers or a song to get support, it's like she doesn't have the guts to wake up, say something and own it. It's always through some convoluted source that protects her. Just my opinion but I can't wait till we don't hear about her anymore.

A 'source' which everyone knows is really her anyway or her fans. That way she can keep her hands clean if tit hits the fan and lets someone else take the fall while playing the victim and claiming she is only being accused because of jealousy, misogyny, or whatever excuse she produces that day. I still think she was more involved than what she is claiming as Blake talked about her helping quite a bit as did Justin a few times. Now, suddenly.... nope, she had nothing to do with it because being seen as siding with Blake would get her bad press and the fact the film was seen as a dud, when you know that if the shoe was on the other foot and it was Blake getting all the support and it was a hit, she would be first in line to make sure she got praise for helping her.

This statement from Megan Twohey was posted on Reddit. Very interesting and in a way confirming what we have been thinking even if you are on the fence about the merit of the SH allegations.

What this tells me, be it that Lively was or wasn't sexually harassed, is that for her it was all about the damage her reputation took during the promotion of the movie. It was not about SH or standing up for victims. Rather than believe that any of her actions could have contributed to the rupture of her image and attempt to address them, she became convinced it was all a result of a targeted and coordinated attack, probably after receiving the texts from Stephanie Jones, and focused her efforts there by devising a legally protected way in which she could also retaliate and destroy his reputation.

Of course they did! Twohey also stated they "reviewed thousands of documents". You don't do that within 24 hours of the filing of the CRD. This was months in the making, just as the website metadata and common sense indicates.

Wayfer doesn’t seem to have amended their complaints, wasnt the deadline yesterday?

does that mean he has voluntarily dropped the rest? Are they now just focusing on her suit?

he’ll be completely screwed if she chooses to drop hers now no?

I think either way they will appeal (they still can) or defend themselves. Amending and fighting another uphill battle may be too exhausting and too expensive. This whole ordeal is already costing them millions. If they can now focus fully on defending it may be better for them.

Something is definitely happening.

JB didn’t file an amended complaint. Not in itself weird - he could have taken the view that the routes available to him were so limited it was not worth it. But if that was the case, strange that there was no statement from his lawyers and no statement from Blake’s lawyers spinning this as a huge victory for her, a massive climb down from him, etc etc.

BL’s deposition yesterday. No word on whether it took place from either side.

The last few weeks have been such a PR war, with BL’s lawyers basically doing a victory lap and talking about Blake being the champion of women everywhere any time anything happens, that this silence from both sides is weird.

Settlement? Or Blake trying to drop her lawsuit now the counterclaim has gone? Something that involves both sides.

She can’t do this unilaterally now, would need the judge to agree. Although Liman has been treating this like a waste of his time so far, so she might fancy her odds on getting the whole thing dropped.

If they were going to settle, this would from Blake’s perspective be absolutely the right time to do it. After his countersuit is dismissed (so he can’t realistically expect any significant award from the case), but before she has to give any statements on oath and possibly perjure herself, and while all the information from discovery is still sealed.

I hope he clears his name. Selfishly I want a trial but if JB can get a settlement that clears his name without a trial, that would be better for him.
