JB definitely seems to be winning in the court of public opinion. BL hasn't really produced anything beyond the initial article- I'm guessing she wasn't expecting JB to fight back this hard?

This is coming accross to some people as 'oh poor Blake, she isn't saying anything and is waiting for her trial! He's bullying her and won't shut up!'

Don’t know what she could say at this point. Even with RR all his PR team could manage was a very lame fake signing 🤷🏽‍♀️

Can we stop giving Candace too much credit here 😩 whilst her coverage has been good, its not info she has cracked and she somehow is trying to make Ryan the bad guy ( he is ) and Blake as much of a victim. There is only ONE victim in all this and that is JB

Oh and while we are on the first page of the thread- for any new people before you come in with your piping hot tea

We know there is a clause on his contract that the rights of the movie go back to the author if he is accused of sexual assault!

Eta; sexual harrasment not assault

🤣

If Blake and Ryan get their hands on one of these there might be a way out.

After my last post I got obsessed with Betty Buzz. The marketing of these products is baffling. On a certain level I can see the theory behind associating the brand with health, nutrition and Whole Foods types tend to have a lot of spending money and Skinny Girl is kind of tacky.

But making the campaign entirely about Blake and how she DOESN’T drink is odd. “I’M too good for this poison, but give me money and you do you, drunky.”

Besides that, I haven’t seen it on any shelves and I am decidedly not sober.

Her selling something she doesn't believe in is basically same as her acting method and it shows :ROFLMAO:

Didn't get the chance to respond to @Idontevengohere before the previous thread was closed.

Honestly, the PR lawsuits and attached drama is a whole case in and of itself. Stephanie Jones of Jonesworks is also suing Baldoni, Wayfarer, Jen Abel et all for breach of contract and for carrying out a smear campaign against her! According to her filling the "it's just shows how much people are ready to hate on women" comment is about her, not BL :ROFLMAO:

Also according to her, Jen Abel and Melissa Nathan carried out the smear campaign against BL without her knowledge and then Abel left the company, stole Wayfarer as a client, and planted stories in the media slandering her (Steph Jones).

According to JB, Steph Jones was becoming very erratic and hard to deal with, and it all culminated with her leaking stuff to the media against the expressed wishes of JB, Wayfarer, Jen Abel (Wayfarer's main PR agent from Jonesworks) and Melissa Nathan (a crisis manager they hired, who has her own firm, TAG) which essentially constituted a breach of contract. So Wayfarer took their business elsewhere - and since they were familiar with Jen and Melissa they were happy to continue with them.

I also forgot to mention in my previous comment regarding the supposed subpoena from BL against Jonesworks - besides the fact that apparently BL's team was in possession or had seen Jen Abel's texts the same day her phone was handed in to her previous employer, Jonesworks (which supports the theory that they were leaked to them), BL is conveniently not suing Steph Jones nor Jonesworks.

I mean, if you went to the trouble of obtaining a subpoena because you thought Jonesworks had dirt and eventually discovered they carried out a smear campaign against you, why would you spare the head of said PR agency?

You wouldn't as the 'smear' would have taken place whilst employed by Jonesworks. The fact they are suing the agency that Melissa Nathan works for but not the agency Jennifer Abel was working for at the time speaks volumes. If there was no subpoena then I can see a motion to have all texts messages, emails etc deemed inadmissible at hearing due to not following the correct legal procedures.

That will bury Steph Jones' lawsuit as she would be shown to be the retaliatory party and would also bury Jonesworks - because what high profile individual or entity would want to be represented by a PR company who willingly leaked correspondence about their clients and seems to be headed by a rogue agent?

This made me laugh.
Would love to be a fly on the wall in the Lively/Reynolds camp right now. I think there will be a mea culpa any day surely

I noted in the joint letter to Judge Liman on 30 January the deadline for any motion to join additional parties is set at 18 April. The letter suggested that at least one of the parties anticipated doing this. I wonder if Jonesworks will be pulled into the proceedings.

Another interesting tid-bit of the new filling. As we all know, BL came under fire for how she chose to promote the film, and eventually she will claim in her legal filling that she was simply following her contractual marketing plan and that JB had gone against it in order to make her look bad.

It would appear that BL got Ryan's company, Maximum Effort, to organise promo material for the film that she intentionally kept JB et all in the dark about. Please note what their promotional strategy was:

Eventually she pushed out both Wayfarer and Sony out of the promotion and, once again, blew their budget:

If this is true, not only did she go against the original marketing plan but she was fully responsible for the tone-deaf promotion of the movie since it was Ryan's company leading it! And when she got criticised for it, she tried to extort an apology statement from Wayfarer essentially having them take the blame for it.

a lovely way to market the film would have been a special screening for people who work in the field of DV - could cover everyone from healthcare workers to counsellors. They could have invited the cast, had BL etc to a meet and greet etc. Even given everyone a goody bag of her products. Another nice idea would be cast members talking about their red/green flags in relationships.

I absolutely lost my tit when BL was on the press tour and she was asked what she would say or do to reach out to someone who was suffering from DV and she replied about whether she should give them her address or phone number. It was so, so , so inappropriate. Literally anyone with a brain in her situation would say well done on speaking out, signpost to services that help women, make a comment about a brighter future beginning with one step. Its what anyone would say - anyone who cared about other people.

So far as per this filling BL has blown up the wardrobe, score, editing, and marketing budget.

  • She was repeatedly unavailable for shooting when she was contractually obligated* to be, forcing production to work around her at their expense.

  • She had the wardrobe department $115K over budget before they had acquired any items for cast members other than her and JB. Then threatened to walk away if she didn't get full control over this.

  • She demanded several additional producers and Sony execs be on set at all times, or she wouldn't return to work.

  • She demanded body doubles be hired for all intimate scenes only to never use them.

  • She requested the director provide her with raw footage - and when he didn't comply she threatened Sony with leaking SH allegations to the media.

  • She got her own cut of the film and demanded they hire her personal editor at the studio's expense, while their own editors were barred from seeing the movie they worked on.

  • She fired the composer and scrapped all of the work he had done and that had been paid for, and hired a new composer, blowing up this department's budget as well.

  • She delayed the trailer's release and stalled key marketing as a way to get the studio to give her more time in the editing room and to remove JB's acting credit from appearing besides hers. She eventually pushes for the removal of his "a film by" credit as well.

  • She got Ryan's company, Maximum Effort, to organise her promotional material which blew up the marketing budget.

*I also want to point out that at least as of May 2024 she had still not signed her Employment Contract. The trailer of the film was about to come out and their main actress, now executive producer, producer, semi-director, PGA credited and marketing head had not signed a damned contract!
