Relocating to Hull

Lots of people commute into Hull from beverley as there are regular trains. Or there are the towns such as brough, South cave, Market Weighton all less than half an hour away. I can't really speak of the Hull villages such as Hessle etc so hopefully someone else can help.
Hull Centre is strange these days, it's very empty and quiet I find!

I have been offered the chance to help expand the business I work for in the Hull area - career wise is an excellent opportunity but just wondered if anyone can point me in the right direction when it comes to living there, no go areas etc? I currently live about an hour south so can commute for the time being but we all need a fresh start.

I have two school aged children so good schools are a must as are green areas and a nice community. Looking to spend max £700 pcm in rent whilst we find our feet.

A village would be preferable
