Tried to post this on the last thread but then it closed but I invested too much time in writing it so I’ll put it on this one
I never get that whole “haven’t managed to wash my hair in a week” “ooooh I’ve actually managed to have a shower today” crap that these mumfluencers spout.
When I had my first baby my mums best piece of advice to me was that if you prioritise even ten minutes in your morning to shower, do your teeth and slap on a bit of mascara or whatever makes you feel more human you’ll be better equipped to face the day. I found it to be so true. Even when my babies were small I’d bring them into the shower room in their little bouncy chairs if they were awake or when they were older I’d bring toys in for them and they’d sit there and play. Watched them the whole time and they were safe and happy and I managed to get myself all nice and fresh for the day. I was then a single mum for a few years with a full time job with one child in school and one in nursery and I STILL ALWAYS MANAGED TO WASH MYSELF DAILY. Sorry to sound like I’m bigging myself up but that’s my experience and it really wasn’t hard. Sometimes a bit of a juggling act but always achievable. She leaves them alone for hours at a time to
duck about in her spare room/barn/gym/pornhub room so I don’t see how it’s a big achievement to pop in the shower for five minutes when her shower room is down stairs right next to where they’d be sat like little zombies in front of a dvd. Just leave the door unlocked or open so you can listen to them and put the dogs in a different room. Sorry just had to get that off my chest
(my clean, showered chest.....)
Thats not very positive and stuff is it, just need some positiviteh, take your cheweh vitamin and you'll be realleh happeh and supeh productive and stuff
Good advice! However I had grated chicken and boiled willies last night for dinner and now I have a terrible bout of food poisoning so don’t think I could stomach one.....
