Really struggling. Awaiting test results cancer/diabetes

I just need to write this down. I was going to post anonymously and even created another account, but I can't post a thread.

My husband has a long medical history. He battled cancer for 5 years starting 2011.

He is undergoing tests for blood in stool, awaiting a date for a colonoscopy under the 2 week referral.
He also has a very high Hba1C, so I suspect he is diabetic also.

I am really struggling mentally. I know there is nothing anyone can so or say. I spent 5 years worried I would loose him, and I really can't do all this again.

I'm so sorry. And it's so hard as your right there's nothing any of us can say.
But we're all here to listen.
I have been thru cancer with my parents. I know how horrible it is, and how it effects not just the person but the family too.
Have you got any kids?
Have you got somebody there for you too? Mum? Friend?
You are in my thoughts. Xxx

Just wanted to say your husband is very lucky to have an amazing wife like you 💕 all of this isn’t easy for you either so do go easy on yourself. Try to take each day as it comes. The waiting is the worst. Just remember, you’ve been through the worst a couple can go through in 2011 and the years after this, whatever comes your way you will be able to deal with it. So sorry I know this must be very very difficult for you.
I hope your husband will be ok.
Do you have any carers groups in your area who can help you get away from your worries temporarily? Just meeting up and chatting with other people can help.

Sorry to hear that and yes it's hard to imagine going through it all again. Bloody cancer. I hope you can somehow find the strength to be there for your partner but also look after yourself.

My Dad had colon cancer that was caught early. He was left with a colostomy bag because even though they were going to reverse it after so many months he sadly caught pneumonia and was quite ill for a while, so they just decided to leave the bag. My Dad was in his 70's though. Hopefully with your husband being a lot younger, he will cope well with the treatments.

I am so sorry too. Waiting for results is the worst - at least when you have the results you can make a plan and go full steam into everything. Xx

I am so sorry to read this, sending love your way ♥

I can't imagine how hard this must be for him, but for you as well with the constant worry. Make sure you take time to take care of yourself as well as taking care of him - judging from some other posts I read of yours on other threads it seems like you do a fab job of looking after him anyway. Just make sure you dedicate some time to yourself too.

If you need to vent you know where we are - I really hope things go okay x
