Does anyone on here have Reynauds?!

I need help!

So I’ve got Reynauds, it’s a pain in the a in the winter with fingers and toes that go white, numb and then tingle when the my body decides to put blood back into my extremities! 😂. I’m not on anything for it, went to a rheumatologist and he advised just keeping myself warm in the winter, wearing gloves, vest etc etc. I can cope with that.

But in this hot weather?! BLOODY HELL. It’s turned into a different beast all together, my face goes red and we’re talking RED. We’re not talking a little flushed here. It’s full on face like a tomato. I sweat, feel dizzy, dehydrated and sick at times. I’m managing it with drinking cold water and staying out of the sun but I can’t do that all the time and frankly it’s embarrassing when your face is like a giant tomato.

Does anyone else get this with Reynauds? Or is this completely unconnected?!

Hello 👋. I have Reynaud’s. I’m the same as in when the weather’s hot, I also get really hot but not to the point where my face goes red; I just get a bit flushed. However, I do get the other “features” such as feeling exhausted, sick, and faint. I’ve often wondered too if it’s linked to Reynaud’s and our bodies swing from one extreme to another!

I have it but thought it was just a winter/cold weather thing? I had a quick Google and couldn’t see anything.

That’s what I’ve seen! Google goes on and on about Reynauds and cold weather but there’s nothing about hot weather? I’m not sure whether it’s connected to the Reynauds or if it’s something else and I should pop down the the gp or not.

It’s so awful I’m actually wishing for winter right now!
