What did you have for dinner?

It wasn't so much a critique but a friend of a friend made fun of my figure when he was drunk, this was like 15 years ago and I still remember and think about what he said. And a close friend said something nice about me to her then-boyfriend, who replied with "lol no she looks like trash" and for some reason my friend let me know about this comment Hated that guy's guts well before that, so I was sort of proven right about my opinion. I got a bunch of self-esteem destroyers but these two are that I could remember the quickest. Some men are shit.

Best compliment you ever received?

From one of my clients for helping them be able to live the past year of their life in happiness / freedom (it was a domestic violence case- who was terminally ill). She was such a beautiful person- she got to do all her bucket list items. Was a really nice story.

I've had a few but one I remember is a lad I fancied telling me 'your face could make onions cry' . I was sixteen at the time. Insults cut deep at that age.

I was chatting with an older cab driver once on my way to work and he complimented me on my mannerisms and general way of speaking, he thought I was elegant and charming Felt like a million bucks that day because I was constantly getting shat on by my nasty boss at the time. I'm shit at accepting compliments regarding my appearance and they are few anyway but that made every happy. Also I fondly remember being told that I was "too good for this place" by my previous supervisor. It's the little things.
