Have we seen the seen the back of these do you think? There's been quite a few damning documentaries and generally people now seem to be more wary.

I almost got into one when I was 19 in chocolate or something. Luckily I completely forgot to meet the people who were inducting me so got a lucky escape!

I used to see a few people on facebook that were obviously quite deep into them so had to use quite aggressive tactics to try get sales. I remember reading they're more about selling yourself than selling brand as the aim is to get higher up the pyramid.

I feel sorry for people who do get burned though as the products and spiel is normally flashy and convincing. Plus it's usually a friend who starts them off with it.

Yeah I got sucked into Herbalife.. I didn’t know about calorie deficit at the time etc & I lost loadsa weight so I was really into it & jumped at the chance to sell.

I was just having a look at unanswered threads section as I feel sorry for people when nobody replies lol .. Herbalife is a absolute pyramid scheme. There’s so many out there. I have people on my friends list from school on fb that start selling stuff and I avoid them so much as they become a nuisance trying to get you to buy stuff

God yeah a lady I know sells Herbalife and I cringe everytime I see her posts,how do people still not realise they're all a scam

We haven't seen the back of them, they've been reinvented as mlm's.

Unfortunately right now it's ripe for the pickings with MLMs and these schemes.
So many people especially women are facing huge job and income insecurity, we are all spending much more time online due to lockdown so if you are at a bit of a low point, you are the perfect prey.
Now thankfully there's a few documentaries and good info online about these schemes but some people believe everything on social media and can easily be sucked in!
So many stories of how it has damaged relationships, friendships and finances!
