Regarding doing something for SM 'likes'.
Some of the projects I've helped with I never even knew existed until a friend either shared or commented on it enabling me to become aware and 'get on board'. Likewise when or if I share such actions more people become aware, a snowball effect.

Many such projects encourage you to 'share' to engage and promote the cause., Christmas shoe box appeals, soup kitchens, foodbanks, gifts at Christmas or Easter eggs for hospital wards, homeless backpacks, making scrubs for the NHS, I could go on.
Agreed. But some people share everything they do to supposedly help others, regardless of whether it was requested that it be shared or not.

Like when she gets sent free stuff and announces to everyone she's donating the contents (after she's removed the bits she wants obviously)

Or filming yourself buying a tent for a homeless man (whilst pissing yourself laughing)

I think the point that the majority of us here was trying to make is that she doesn't share things like that to raise awareness, no matter how much she might like to think she does. It's so she gets likes and told how amazing and selfless she is.

This has really annoyed me MORE than R even sharing the post.

WHY, because CB's black and R isn't?
Why should it matter what CB makes of it? Should we all only be helping people of our own colour.... does CB only help POC?
If CB genuinely has issues of 'white saviour' it says more about her than the action itself.

Shall I no longer send them my shoes or forward the bra's that I've collected to smalls for all because I'm not the right colour to assist with their needs. Not happening!

I'll help anyone when I can regardless of their age, gender, colour or social standing and I'm no saint as I definitely have my faults but I've never considered someone refusing my assistance or not helping them at all because we have different colour skin!
There’s a thread about Candice and her <cough> attitude , maybe that supporter needs to start a thread in Rave 😉.

Pretending she doesn’t hate the dog now 🤔

The shoes thing is also a bit elitist as you have to send money with the shoes, which some people might not be able to afford 🤷🏼‍♀️ She’s made it come across a bit braggy either way.

I reckon Hannah has probably benefited substantially by hanging on to the coat tails of the bloggers brigade and being part of the PayPal ‘PTWM team’.

Do you remember when PTWM started tagging lots of stuff by Made in Snetty (clothing) stating that she had ‘just discovered this cute brand’. Though she didn’t mention that Hannah was a long term brand rep for them and this is visible in her Insta profile and she hadn’t just discovered the brand at all. Oops 😂

Just a small fib but one of thousands that she thinks people don’t notice 🙄

Though Hannah’s facial expressions towards KDIL were comedy gold.
I think you mean the wrong Hannah.. her best friend Hannah from being young.. the hairdresser Hannah whoever wrote it, she hasn’t posted in her stories for a long time x

I was referring to Josh’s sister Hannah. I didn’t realise there was more than one Hannah so didn’t mean to confuse things 😀

With respect, I think you’ve missed the point as to why people have a problem with so called white saviourism and in turn proved my own personal point as to why I was reluctant to pass comment in the first place.

The problem isn’t in the action of helping or donating or building or making. It isn’t a problem with white people donating to a charity that benefits POC. It’s in the subsequent parading of their good deeds, usually on social media, while using images of the people they have offered their help to. Those two young girls did not consent to having their picture shared to millions on social media. Rachaele used them as poster girls for her good deed of the day. What she should have done was donate, share the cause with her large following and kept that picture for herself and her family. It was sent to them as a thank you. Rachaele decided the world needed to know what a good person she had been and how grateful these vulnerable young girls were to receive such a basic necessity I’m sure we can all agree no one should be without. The ethnicity of the both parties comes into play in this particular instance because white saviourism is an ever increasing and ever problematic issue on social media. It is routed in white people offering self serving help to POC and the white people in question reaping ongoing kudos and praise for doing so. The broadcasting of these charitable offerings combined with using the people on the receiving end for a photo opportunity ultimately benefits the conscience of the person donating and little else.

Another example of things of this nature is poverty porn which is yet another thing Rachaele likes to indulge in. Filming herself helping a homeless man while laughing “What is my life” because she spent 5 minutes of her day buying him a sleeping bag. The man wasn’t connected to any charity. He wasn’t part of an ongoing campaign. Yet she really needed the world to know how much she, a financially privileged woman, went out her way to help the poor man with no money. Again he got a sleeping bag just like the girls got the shoes but she got the comments, the likes, the reposts, the engagement and therefore at the end of the day - the money. The money that keeps her in £150 trainers and her kids on £350 trampolines and her chickens in £500 coops.

With regards to Candice Braithwait I really don’t know much about her so I can’t comment

Those wellies aren’t cute at all. He will be around 2 when he can wear them. Personally I don’t like them.

The wellies were fine. The problem is that she shared the video about the wellies a couple of hours after sharing a post about children in need of footwear. Basically saying ‘I sent my scabby old shoes to these little girls aren’t I fabulous, but look Edie and Wilby now have shoes that they don’t need. I keeping them because they are brand new and it’s all about me really.’
This is because she is tone deaf and never educates herself on anything she peddles past the bare minimum information that she needs for a post. In that particular post she typed ‘MY daughter Edie’ not once but twice. Showing that the post in her head was less about the two children in the picture and more about her and what she had done (via Edie.) This is what I can’t stand about her. I couldn’t give a toss about her grimey personal life, but her basic lack of tact, class and education is astounding. The fact that young women put her on a pedestal is horrifying to me

She did a story/post about the sending the shoes off ages ago. I’d check, but you know, blocked 🤦🏻‍♀️

Nah I dont do public sycophancy.

I like her attitude. She fucks up from time to time. They all do. I like her make motherhood diverse ting. She has a point and yep sadly still not an equal society so voices still need to be raised as do issues and questions posed.

Her house is cool too. I love the colourfulness of it.

I’ve got it wrong, she’s called lianne 🤦🏻‍♀️ Pass me the wine, sorry 🤣🤣

Took me ages to find the picture aswell, my bad, sorry 🤪
Why does everyone have to "big sister" "adopted dad" "second mummy"
Just call them your friend ffs... they dont stick around long enough to have an impact on your kids lives by the looks of it

Did she ever post about the closet clearout that OK were promoting in aid of domestic abuse? Seeing as that's what her 'following' is based on and its relevant to the UK instead or sending shoes to Johannesburg?!
