My husband and I are considering going private for fertility treatment (I have PCOS and have been trying unsuccessfully for a few years). Does anyone have any experiences or recommendations they can share? I’m not really sure where to start with regards to finding clinics etc, obviously I’ve googled it but it’s all a bit overwhelming! I don’t think there’s a thread on this already but if there is let me know!

I know ABC who are part of Create fertility have a few clinics across the country. Never used them myself but I attended an open evening and the founding DR was lovely, but obviously she wouldn’t be doing all treatments. I think on the whole they have pretty good success rates and a low cost package if you meet a certain criteria.
If you’re willing to travel I’ve used both Harley St Fertility Clinic and CRGH in London for testing and I like both but would stick with CRGH if I end up having treatment.
It’s worth looking up any clinics of interest on the HFEA website (ivf regulators) at their ratings and they have some useful info on choosing a clinic too https://www.hfea.gov.uk/choose-a-clinic/
Also we have a TTC community on here if you wish to join us

We went to a Zoom open evening with Create Fertility which I think happens quite regularly. They seemed great and we are going to book an in person meeting once my next period arrives to get the ball rolling. Maybe it’s worth seeing if you could sign up to one of those to see what you think?

One of my friend used Harley Street but my husband would struggle to get there regularly because of his work! Did you just contact a few to see which felt best for you? I’ve just had a look and booked onto one! Which clinic are you using? Manchester or Liverpool are closest to me! Thank you xxx
I’m in the north west too and am with Care Fertility in Manchester at the minute and I couldn’t fault them
Liverpool is the closest for me, but my understanding is that if you use that clinic you still have to go to Manchester for egg retrieval and transfer, so something to consider.
