I’ve mainly been a hermit since being pregnant, I work from home so never see anyone and don’t really have any need to go anywhere. I went shopping today with a friend and I must suddenly look pregnant because I’ve had loads of people comment on my bump which is a weird feeling 😂 some of the youngsters in Lush though all come over and said how cool I look, I’ve never been called cool in my life so I’ll take that.

question for those who have had a c section in the past, I know it will vary for everyone but how long did you stay in hospital after? I’m opting for an elective section, but we went to the first antenatal class yesterday and the hospital is only letting the dads in for a couple of hours in the morning and then a couple of hours in the afternoon, but the midwives said unfortunately it’s really strict and the 2 hour slots are all you get at the moment. I’m dreading being in there alone, I’m hoping to be able to go home the following day but not sure if that’s a bit optimistic?

3 nights post section. Was going to be two but they allowed the third as the babies were in NICU. It will vary on your baby too and if they want to monitor them but I believe it's usually 2 nights, some are even one

An uncomplicated section is a 24 hour stay only here. And they’re quite happy to discharge you at exactly the 24hr point, even if it’s stupid o’clock in the morning, as long as you’ve got a lift home!

I’m at that point in the last stretch of googling ‘could this be it’ (you wouldn’t think this is my 4th time 😂😂)
My hands and feet are ridiculous sweaty, and I’m not even hot. And the tiredness is extreme, even though I think I’m having decent nights sleep
Someone tell me they had these signs and the baby came not long after 😭

I’m going in next Wednesday and my midwife seemed to think I’d be home by Thursday night provided everything went okay 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Dads here are only allowed 2 hours a day visiting and asides from being sad for Mr O, I also can’t imagine being alone with a baby without him 😟

It’s shite really. He gets 2 hours after she arrives and then 2 hours a day.

In other news, today I laughed so hard at a TikTok video that I *literally* pissed my pants and then immediately started sobbing. It’s going to be a looooooong week.

Ahh good luck, hope it all goes well 😊 it’s really rubbish for dads though, I feel so sad that he has to leave, the rules seem so unfair.

I was in for 3 nights. I was told I would be allowed to go home the next day however I had high blood pressure and large volume blood loss post op. So I was kept for monitoring. It was really tough as husband could only visit for 4 hours. 2 hours is even worse! Hopefully you will be allowed home the next day all going well 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Has anyone found the perfect, cosy maternity joggers? I work from home so basically live in them currently but the ones I have are all thin and I spend the day where top half is boiling, bottom half is freezing! I have the H&M mama ones.
