Apparently it is. Would have been before he married Celia. Although I hope it is more juicy than that.

There were blind items a few years ago inferring that he was cheating on Celia with an Australian woman.

Considering it would be around 20 years ago that would be a lame comeback from DC if that's what he's on about. Anyway was Marina Hyde a showbiz journalist?

She did gossip back in the day I think. And it does seem lame. He was married at the time (she might have been too) but water under the bridge. It would only be juicy tea if it was fairly current.

Piers Morgan has been making some demands at his new home, TalkTV. Milking his position as the channel’s flagship talent, Piers has requested a big dressing room with an en suite shower. On paper, that doesn’t seem unreasonable. The problem is that he wants it on the same floor as the expensive new studio, even though there’s not really any room to spare.

So, to accommodate Morgan – who refuses to have the dressing room of his dreams built on a floor where there’s actually some space – an entire department is now being relocated elsewhere in the building to make room for it. All for the sake of a dozen or so steps.

Piers ought to be careful. Mariah Carey got her start not doing stairs. Before he knows it, he’ll be doing his interviews with a wind machine.

If this is true it makes the meeting Meghan in The Scarsdale (I used to drink in that pub) more interesting. He used to watch her in Suits and they met on Twitter. Okay, the pub is a few minutes walk from his London home, it’s his regular haunt so if he was trying to have an affair with Meghan he would surely choose a more discreet hang out. However, it was their first meeting and he is so arrogant he might not have worried about being seen. He was always waxing lyrical about Celia but if he has strayed during his marriage to Celia, then it is very conceivable he thought he was odds on with Meghan, and his gargantuan ego was crushed when she met a better prospect. Hence the prolonged and sustained attack on her.

If the Oz bird was a few years ago it would have been around, or not long after, he met Meghan. The dude was up for it I reckon.

I don't think he was after an affair with MM.

He is just disgruntled that she ghosted him. There was this other journalist, who also wrote a couple of columns about being ghosted by MM after MM approached her to find a man and be introduced to people.
So she shares Piers' sentiment, but unlike her he cannot let go and probably has more freedom to express his frustration. Plus MM is so liked that his ramblings on her poor personality probably generate clicks and views.

He could go to a pub with any famous attractive woman and I don't think most people would suspect an affair, they'd just think he was with a famous friend socialising.

I doubt he thought he stood a chance with Meghan because she was one of the most fancied women on tv when she was in Suits.

But yeah I've seen the Popbitch rumours before so I wouldn't be shocked if they were true but we'll never see a paper report it anyway. Just like they kept his Caribbean holiday during xmas lockdown under wraps

Piers has a massive ego. Celia is still attractive but she was stunning when she started seeing him. Piers would think he was in with a chance with anybody. You are right about keeping reporting about him on the down low, not just the hypocrisy around that holiday but the nazi photos too.
