Does anyone else own parrots? I know hardly anyone with them! I've got a small parrot (pineapple green cheek conure) who for the last 3 years we thought was a boy but turns out he's (she!) Is actually actually girl. I had taught him to say loads of phrases (good boy etc) but I guess he is going to be gender fluid now

They do say bird people are crazy and I would be inclined to agree

Mine tells me "you're a wee dick" constantly (of course he learned that from my partner )

Curious if anyone else's parrots back chat them? Sometimes I am totally convinced he knows how to get things in context

My mum has a small green parrot. Not sure what type.

We always thought it was a boy until about 10 years after we had him it laid an egg! We thought my dad was winding us up, but it went on to lay a few more.

We still call it him although it has a gender neutral name (Billy).

She's had it for 22 years and it was second hand when she got it. I reckon it is on its last legs now though as it sleeps a lot and doesn't look too healthy.

Billy can say hello, Billy and blows kisses. He also laughs which is cute.

Many moons ago my dad had 2 blue macaws who he got from some pikeys and they had very colourful language!!!
