I loved them in the 90s and saw them at Knebworth in 1996 but I have zero interest in seeing them live now. Most of their stuff after Morning Glory was crap and their respective bands were crap (IMHO). Both of them just seem like relentless bellends although Noel’s famous quote about Liam being a man with a fork in a world of soup is still fairly amusing.

I went on Friday and it was EPIC!!! Proper pinch me moment.
The crowds were incredible, no trouble.
loved Richard Ashcroft too.
Worth the HYPE!!

I'm not rushing to do much else today, so don't mind having the laptop sitting in a big queue. Yes tickets will sell quickly but loads of people are getting bumped out at every part of the process, people are giving up etc. So I'll just sit and wait until it's confirmed they are sold out.

Their material hasn't aged well. It's not 95/96 anymore. Pub/drinking music IMO.
I thought their first album was reasonable in parts till I got a bit more music aware as I grew up and realised the amount of Beatles material they lifted from.
Just listen to the riff in supersonic and then my sweet lord by George Harrison.
There's inspiration and then there's borderline plagiarism till it becomes pure overkill.
I like them both as media/cultural/news commentators though. They made/make a decent double act for that.
Saying that I still think their early song Aquiesce is decent.
I do find reunions like this superfluous and embarassing though.
I'd think the same even if The Smiths reformed tbh.
There's no need for it. It cheapens their legacy whatever that was in the first place.
It just adds to the overwhelming feeling of creative bankruptcy the last decade or so.
Great news for the tabloids though in the "dog days" of August.

Ticketmaster were determined that I was a bot, kept sending me to the back of the queue at 250,000 😂

Husband was more patient and we have tickets up in the Gods!

Think I may take them up on their offer!

Going tonight, can’t be arsed anymore particularly after 5 nights at Glastonbury and Pulp at O2.

My lack of enthusiasm may have been made worse by my 83yr old dad ringing and declaring that he thinks they are a brilliant band who don’t just sing the same line over and over, followed by a rant about how at least they aren’t Bob Vylan (the Daily Mail has a lot to answer for when it comes to which bands he’s head of).

Fortunately the teen is excited, he’s gone off in to town in search of a bucket hat.

You'd think that after handling the ticket sale for Taylor Swift, Ticketmaster would be equipped to handle this scale of demand. Maybe let Amazon handle the sale next time 😂

I’m going tomorrow solo and can’t wait. Staying in Bristol tonight and getting national express in the morning. I saw linkin park last week at Wembley so I’m still buzzing from that. The wait for the day to come has felt like forever. All the leaked set lists don’t have supersonic or importance of being idle included which are two of my faves but I’m happy to be there! M17 section which doesn’t seem too bad view wise!
I was there last night, I won’t give any spoilers but make sure you get in for Richard Ashcroft, the man is in fine form!

They have an amazing screen set up so you should have an ace view wherever you are and no one is sat from the min they walk on stage anyway!

Usually lurk on here but the oasis night on bbc2 is hyping me up for heaton park ❤ the one band I always wanted to see but never managed to (couldve gone to Loch Lomond with my cousins but long Story) tempted to go full on adidas and a bucket hat for old times sake 😂

I got the loyal fan link which says I will be automatically selected for a code on Friday. Fingers crossed it works.

I like Oasis, but I really don't get all the hype..No.1 on ITV News, before the 2 killings at the Notting Hill Carnival.

BEST CONCERT EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, I don't think anyone will ever compare. The music, the vibes. It was incredible.
We had front standing as well, everyone was great, I cried a few times!!

We've got Coldplay next, not sure if anything will live upto Oasis though!
