To be blunt, Boris is not only
bleeping his "princess", but also his Cabinet, the 1922 Committee, Brexit, Covid, Tory voters and the country as a whole.
The quicker Boris is kicked out the better, but according to the New Statesman, the only way this can happen under a Tory administration is thus:-
The answer is that there is no set way to remove a prime minister, it varies depending on which party is in power.
For a Conservative Party leader, there has to be a “vote of (no) confidence” from the party. This involves all the party’s members of parliament voting on whether they “have confidence” in their leader.
A vote of confidence within the Conservative Party can only be triggered if a minimum of 15 per cent of the party’s MP’s write in letters demanding one. That means that 48 Tory MPs are currently needed to unseat Boris.
If, when the vote takes place, the majority of the party vote “no confidence” in the leader, they are forced to resign.
But wasn’t Boris supposedly livid that the leak had ‘bounced’ him into doing an emergency press conference before he had even had chance to address parliament about the lockdown? I don’t get why she would have leaked it in this circumstance, unless Boris was pretending to be livid.
I think the leaker was either Cummings or Cain. I hope we find out!
Lots of smoke and mirrors. She may not have been the mole directly, but it wouldn't surprise me if she had some influence
