I love the nutty comedy characters that stand against the big names across in GB. Count Binface and all.

Also glad about Ian Paisley. Years of taking advantage, dare I say it, Jim Allister has more integrity as a person and I'd prefer him over Paisley. But that's easy to say when I'm not living in North Antrim!

Did you see the guy with the baked beans balaclava beside Jacob Reese mogg? I bleeping can’t cope lol!
Don’t agree with Jim’s politics but I would say he would work harder than Paisley for his constituency, or as Jamie would say ‘consistency’

Bad day at the office for the DUP. You love to see it. I’m South Antrim, not a Unionist voter obvs but gave my vote to Robin Swann. Absolutely thrilled and a bit shocked to see how close East Londonderry was- literally not even 200 votes in it. A potential SF gain in the future.
Twitter is going to be fun today. Have already seen Moore Holmes gurning that the split Unionist vote in LV handed the seat to Sorcha. Cry more big man 🤣🤣

edited to add, can’t wait to see sorcha tear lumps out of sunny jim at Westminster 🤣

Not an Alliance voter but glad for Sorcha Eastwood, she seems to actually do some work lol. Can’t wait to see Jim ranting and raving to an empty House of Commons 😂 I guess he’ll have to co-opt his seat at Stormont now, I’m sure his replacement will be a delight 😂 I bet Ian Óg is reeling.

Bloody delighted Pat Cullen prevailed despite Nolan’s best efforts. Can see her as a potential leader one day.

Completely shallow to say this but I saw an interview MON did either last night or this morning and thought her make up looked a lot better, she seems to have stopped overusing the eyeliner and it does wonders for her.

Regarding the Sinn Fein thing. Are you happy that they don’t take their seats, I understand the reasons they don’t but at the same time does the lack of representation in the actual house not bother you?

I know Ian had a bad night but no need for this sense of entitlement…same rules for everyone.

God almighty what’s the obsession with bonfires? 😂

From all accounts of one’s I know Farry was dreadful in ND. But I very much doubt that there was anyone at a bonfire at 2am playing songs celebrating lol.

Jamie said it so it must be true 😂 only realising now lucky Gregory Campbell was in East Derry, scraped past Sinn Fein 😂

Saw something about a recoubt??
Was supposed to be a “safe” seat for Unionism and the DUP, he only got 160 or so more votes than the SF candidate.

Off to enjoy his billions 😂
He clung on to his seat so he’s not going too far unfortunately lol.

The likely new Secretary of State for NI is Hilary Benn….big fan of the protocol 🫠😂

Saw a stat online that reform got about 4 million votes and only a few seats yet Lib Dem’s got 3.5 million votes but 71 seats. That’s good going for Lib Dem’s. But surprising how many people have voted reform.

Doesn’t bother me personally. With SF as the largest party in the north in Westminster, assembly and local government- their voices will be heard one way or another, they cannot be ignored. If they have something to take to the government or any issues they will be hears without taking their seats.
Anytime you see an NI politician in Westminster the chamber is empty anyway.

I’m not a bit surprised. There’s a whole lot of closet racists who’d never openly admit voting Reform but will give them their X in the privacy of the voting booth.

Exactly. It’s a vote in support of abstention. How many times have we seen Carla Lockhart rambling to a deserted House of Commons or Ian Paisley wagging his papers around to complete tumbleweed? NI is nothing but an afterthought to London. The TV coverage is a classic example. They’re talking about Wales, Scotland but have failed to even give a passing mention to this failed statelet 😂

Yeah i understand that. I’m just wondering logistically if you need something from an MP do they still do local constituency (consistency) stuff?

Would say Doug isn’t in a good place this morning. Collins was a massive mistake, insulting your potential voters isn’t a good look.

People are celebrating Paisleys demise forgetting we’ve taken a massive step backwards.
