How lovely that you're thinking of all three of them 🤗

I'm 37+5 into my second pregnancy and if someone asked me right now I'd probably go with something pampering or a nice super soft bathrobe and slippers socks to take with me to hospital (I have to be comfy and warm in those places)
My fella would probably go a with food and drink related treat/ hamper.

For baby I'd say if possible something personalised like a blanket with baby's name on it or comforter toy again personalised.

I finished work a few weeks ago and was given as a leaving pressie a big gift box from a brand called My 1st years it had a personalised beautiful quality baby sleep suit with a rosebud print blanket (it really touched me as we're calling her Rosie)

Hope that helps a little but to be honest I'm sure whatever you choose it will be special to them and treasured X

Thank you so much this really is so helpful! I wouldn’t have even thought of a bathrobe and slipper socks! And I’m going to look on my first years as their babies middle name is rose so that’s a lovely idea. Thank you again, ill make sure to put your name on the card too haha x

I’ve only got one child but the absolute best gift we got was a Cook voucher, that allowed us to get about 7-10 days worth of dinners. They’re nice and you just pop them in the oven so no cooking needed.
I had a c section so all the bath stuff and pampering bits weren’t used for ages and I just didn’t get round to using them for ages!
You get given absolutely loads of bits when the baby is born so I’d avoid any standard baby clothes. I understand the desire to buy something for baby but a gift card for a nice place that could be used later down the line for nice bits like weaning etc would have been welcomed by me. Someone gave us engraved cutlery for my little bit and we still use them now!
definitely treat the parents, babies don’t need a lot at the start.

When my best friend was pregnant I did her a big hamper. I tried to avoid baby clothes as I knew lots of people would buy clothes.
I had a baby myself the year before so I chose things that I had found really useful: mini sudocrem, wipes, matchstick monkey teether toy, book, frida baby 3 in 1 nose/ear/nail picker. For mum I got a summer Fridays lip balm, a costa gift card (for hospital/ post baby walks), slipper socks, hand gel and hand cream, a bag of sweets/ chocs! I didn’t get anything specifically for Dad but knew the voucher and snacks would be used by both of them 😊

My favourite go to gifts are as follows

- gift basket for labour/post partum
Include some bits for mum (mantra cards, cereal bars/snacks are great to take to the hospital, nipple cream, spritz for bits (travel size), then for baby, a new born zipper sleepsuit, sleeping bag for the right season. This is good if you don't know parents too well and these are all good generic gifts.
- YETI mug, especially if mum and dad love a hot drink! They keep hot drinks hot for agesss, and perfect if you forget about your hot drinks and don't have to make a fresh! I don't have kids but I still have one bcos I forget I've made myself one!
- on the subject of mugs, Emma bridgewater personalised mugs, get a Mummy Daddy and babies name and it'll be a cute sentimental piece they can keep and treasure for a long time whilst also being practical.
- gift vouchers for food. I've given gift vouchers from local restaurants who have a takeaway option, also Uber eats gift cards, whatever your recipients would prefer most, this is perfect if they're just so tired and cba with dinner, they can order themselves a nice meal without having to do much their side!

I've given all of these gifts to friends and family with new babies and they've all gone down so well, especially the gift cards for food! Y'all gotta eat!🤣

also idk how you are in the kitchen, but if mama is breastfeeding, you loose a lot of calories doing it and there are loads of snack/treats recipes for bfing mums that you can make for her to give that she can snack on throughout the day, bonus points if the recipe is freezable and you can give some fresh and some in a ziploc bag for her to freeze! Food always goes down well!

I also like to craft in my spare time and I've made a baby cardigan with baby's name embroidered on the back for several babies now as gifts, these also go down SO well too bcos they are a permanent reminder to mum and dad how small their baby way as they can be treasured forever! I last gave one of these a month ago and she dresses baby in it all the time, it's so nice to see how much she wears it and I do a little happy dance every time I see bcos it's treasured so much 🥹🥰

I don't think you can go wrong with food. Either that or, if they don't already have a cleaner, a spring clean and/or ironing done. Not glamorous but a massive help.

Someone recommended these for me to get a friend:
- nappies they asked for these and said they didn't have to buy any for a year after all the gifted ones
- just eat/take away voucher so they could get food delivered if they couldn't be bothered to cook due to being tired after the babies born
