I am thoroughly enjoying my rapid cool thanks to this thread. 😂

MiniP is pretty constipated today though and I think it’s the switch from ready to feed to powder (although still using ready to feed intermittently.) He’s in so much pain especially at night 😢 he’s not really a screamer but he’s so distressed and bicycle legs, tummy rubs etc aren’t really helping. 😭

My 5 month old is in her 6-9 clothing now and I honestly don’t think it’s going to last the summer 🫠🫠
For a baby who isn’t fond of her milk I can’t believe how much she’s grown 🤣

Baby is almost 8 months!

Highs:
She's finding her voice and I love her wookie gargles and screams. Her imitation old man cough was a fun few days.
The way she'll turn and look me right in the eyes and smile when I make a sound she likes
How she bounces up and down when she sees her dad
When she strokes my face and how gentle she can be

Lows:
Still battling with PND and all the guilt and shame that brings.
Weaning - thought I'd love it but I hate it, so does baby.
Teething - been 4 months now and there's a hint of one tooth and that's it!

Highs:
He’s learning new stuff every single day. Babbling away, trying his best to walk, copying things and developing the cheekiest little personality. He’s such a happy little man. And he’s so loving. He gives the best cuddles and chin bites kisses.
His bond with Mr R getting stronger now they spend more time together when I’m working.
He’s started to come and snuggle up to watch things on tv and it’s so cute.

Lows:
It’s been a rough month health wise and now he’s seemingly got about 763 teeth coming all at once and won’t eat anything more than yoghurt and berries, won’t drink any milk etc. It’s been tough.
I feel like I’m missing him grow now I’m back at work.
He had his first tantrum 😂

This foot massage is great for getting things moving. Also a bit of gripe water can help them go. RTF is supposed to help too but it could just be where he’s getting used to the powder.

Just shy of 4 months:

highs: waking up to a smile in the next to me every morning
Watching her engage with toys, music and being outside so much more
She now actively cuddles in to me/her dad 🥹

lows: bagging up all her (my 🤣) favourite outfits of the last 3 months to get put away
Feeling that my mat leave is just racing away 🥲

It feels like everyday he has developed a new skill and it’s exciting watching him grow. Feels like he has a proper cheeky little personality 🥰
He has absolutely nailed “mamma” and “dadda” and it’s so cute
Had a mostly positive 10m review with the HV, which has made me feel reassured

lows:
Sleep is still not good ☹
It’s my last full month of maternity leave and I just want to freeze time forever
He had to have an operation and watching your baby be put to sleep is one of the worst things ever 💔

Not shared my highs and lows before so here it’s goes, baby is 7 months old next week 🥺

Highs
Seeing her happy smiley face every day, she can laugh properly now too so hearing her little chuckle melts me!
She is developing so well and feels like she is learning a new skill every day
Finally back to sleeping through the night (went through a 3 week phase of waking in the night 😴)

Lows
Feeling really lonely at the moment
Maternity leave is going so fast!
Weaning! Baby girl just isn’t interested some days so feel a bit defeated especially when you see online other babies doing so well with it

Sleep is back to 7-7, will try and appreciate this more 🤣
He’s mostly a really happy baby, playing independently and loves being out and about
Now can roll over after me stressing he won’t

Lows
Not feeling myself, huge weight gain and this weather is not it when all I can wear is leggings and t shirts
The days are LONG. Sometimes I just want to rot on the sofa with Netflix but then I feel guilty 🤣

I didn’t want to write on of these on the last thread as I honestly didn’t think there were any highs and it was all lows. It truly shows how far I’ve come mentally in the past couple of months!

highs:
The morning smile
Sleeping better at night
Feeding has improved
Her raspberry blowing / dinosaur noises are so funny
Her excitement when playing
Figuring out rolling

lows
Car seat / car journeys she hates still
Money worries everyday on smp
Feeling lonely/ long days
Just the sheer responsibility of having to do everything, partner not fully understanding how hard it is looking after baby (and keeping on top of the house/ garden/ shopping/ life admin) alone for 10 hours a day and then not pulling their weight on a weekend.

First hartbeeps class today and already feel a bit unsure of it. Our bloom class emailed us the day before with a packet of handy information (where to park, what to pack, arrive 5 minutes before class time, what room it would be in, where to park prams etc) and I’ve had no communication off hartbeeps except an email to tell us the theme. I know it’s probably just a company different and it’s in the same community centre as bloom anyway but I like a lot of information before I walk into something 😂 it starts at half 12 what if I walk in at half past and everyone’s already there and ready? I’m such an over thinker it stresses me out haha

Everything lol he and I are in such a bubble of mutual adoration and he’s changing so much. He’s 13 months next week and like where has the time gone?

Lows
Back at work and it sucks and I miss him so much.
Tried the straight switch from formula to cows milk last night and he guzzled the bottle (yay) and did not fall asleep (boo) and screamed his head off because he wanted his normal bottle. After an hour of trying to get him to sleep without it we gave in. Going to try the gradual switch to cows milk instead then once we’ve done that work on not bottle feeding to sleep.

I’ve done Hartbeeps, I also knew like nothing before hand but she gave a little intro at the start and we all went round and said about ourselves and our babies. Lots of people stayed for ages after the class chatting but I had to head off. I would always try and arrive 10 mins early for these things so you can get a good spot!
