But from subscriber point of veiw tbe moving and disney has given them spike in numbers so short term they think they contained it and all will be ok.

I wish people on mass would unsubscribe.
That would send powerful message.

I wonder if they damaged their relationship with channel mum or other brands choosing them in the future.

I imagine close to xmas is when most advertising budgets spent.

So jan could be very cold up in scotland with less veiwers and ads to keep them feeling all warm inside. Good job they have a real fire
Lee could always get his mummy to chop up the murder shed for firewood if they need to keep warm come January ? (obvs wouldn't want to do it himself for fear of splinters etc)

Wow well done everyone feel like we've achieved something. Zoella declaring all Instagram stories as an ad is a real change. She's been not disclosing ads for years. I think gleam must have been reading here and said she needs to stick to the law.
Gleam are pretty inconsistent when it comes to their influencers. Kat Farmer discloses well (but only because she got a load of stick for her gifts on mumsnet) but MrsHinch is pretty awful and how long has Zoella been not disclosing properly? She has been with Gleam for a long time and only just disclosed a gift? Gleam will try to get away with it unless they think it will damage their product in some way. Maybe someone reported her to ASA.

So funny.

Tommorow a brand new magical day in the kingdom.

As mrs m would say me and the team have been working hard.

Lee would say what a woman what a grafter then giggle.

We done some fab grafting today team tattle.
Keep up the good work

The truth is out there.

Has this been changed or has she declared it all along
View attachment 1664
Surely she's changed it else someone would have said here?

Either way that isn't a legal disclosure for all her posts. The ASA rules say it can't be stuck on the end of a long text and needs to be clear and obvious on every post.

It should say the "paid sponsorship with xxx" on all of her posts to make sure she's within the law.

The pj ad did say paid promotion by F and F at the top of it to give her her dues, but it seemed like that was for the pj’s and nowhere did it say the trip was also sponsored.

It did say but that ad seems to be for the pjs not a gifted trip to Disney. They’ve both specifically said that trip is not an ad, they weren’t paid to go there, that all they got was a vip guide-absolutely no mention of tesco. Yet there they are, wearing top to toe f&f, walking around with the others on that press trip and having their picture taken for f&f promotional material. ??‍♀

Has anyone considered a DM to the other people there? Either the family from Poland or the mother that f&f have tagged in their post? Could try and find out exactly what was #gifted then.

Hi! New here from Mumsnet...thanks for flagging this thread on the Meldrum House one. I just posted this on there which will prob get deleted soon:
I'm sorry but their current trip to Disney is clearly paid for by Tesco clothing. They are featured on the F&F clothing Instagram pic yet MrsM posts a story saying it isn't an AD. The new ASA guidelines are very clear "If celebrities or influencers are posting about a product on social media, they must make it clear if they've been paid to promote it, or have been gifted, loaned a product or thanked in some other way by a brand. No one should be left thinking that a Tweet or Instagram post is just the person's opinion when it's not."
So she is clearly flouting the rules by denying it is an AD when the fact they are there, have VIP access and clothing gifts shows it is. It doesn't matter if they were paid, the fact it is paid for makes it an AD!!! Argh!!

If they had nothing to hide they wouldn’t have to delete and block all the time. If they were genuine then yes, there would still be a few people who don’t like them/their content. Yes, they would have genuine trolls. But people are getting deleted and blocked for asking questions and for pointing out things that are true. Which just shows how much they know they’re in the wrong. They just don’t care.

They were given plenty of opportunity to just be upfront and state it was gift. That’s all they had to do. But instead they spent their time trying to prove how much that wasn’t the case. They may have been able to bullshit their way through both of them posting about it not being and ad by saying after the fact “we’ll, it wasn’t. It was a gift though, sorry for the confusion.” But they’ve shot themselves in the foot and can’t use that excuse now either because of the pair of them lying about the character meets! Lee blatantly said on his Cinderella post that they walk around the park and Rebecca did the whole Goofy instastory. This catergorically proves (though we were in no doubt anyway) that it wasn’t a case of just ‘forgetting to mention’ or ‘we thought it was clear from the original pj post’. They lied about their experience to cover that it was a gift and it’s blown any chance of them being able to cover their own arses. They’ve dug this hole for themselves and if they stand any chance of climbing out of it they need to come clean (not just about this) and be as authentic as possible. Unfortunately, if Rebecca ever was authentic she’s lost it along the way and I’m not sure she’ll ever get it back.

But they only said it wasent an ad on insta stories and that will disappear.
They will also randomly delete any negative comments or questions on either if their insta.

With tesco deleted and mumsnet tattle is the only evidence.

I’ve just copied this from the ASA influencer guide...

“The relationship between influencers and their followers relies on trust and authenticity, so transparency is in the interests of all parties.”

Something the Meldrums seem completely incapable of grasping
