I just love how she's sat on the sofa under a blanket with a cuppa while poppy wonders round with the TV handset... get up and feckin play with your child. Engage with her in games and chat, as an early years specialist this lack of interaction really grinds my gears.

Sorry but comments like this twist my melons. My 6 month old regularly plays by himself while I have a brew. That doesn’t mean to say that I wasn’t playing with him before hand, and won’t play with him after it. But Mums don’t have to play games every second of the day. Children also need to learn how to be independent and entertain themselves.

I understand this is aimed at her, but other Mums reading it might start doubting themselves. It’s 100% ok to have a brew while you’re watching your child play by themselves. As long as they’re supervised and not ignored, it’s not an issue.

Ok Reb no hate here just want to ask a question you can reply on insta I would ask you on there but you would prob just block me so here goes
Today you listed all the things that you need/plan to do while P sleeps so I'm assuming once she's up you are looking after children so what does Lee do?
It's just you've been showing us lately you doing washing cooking etc not being nasty but I've shown some of your recent vlogs to my partner who does some video editing in his full time job and he said for someone who's been editing for about 4 years he can't see more than 15 mins work if that for most your edits so what do 2 adults do at home 24/7 your not even doing your own decorating I really would like to know.
Going back to your list there is a max of 1 hours stuff if you take out emails and editing. Maybe you could do a whole day real time updates of what you and Lee do in a day cos it just seems the pair of you must be spending most your time just sitting reading tattle and hey that's not a bad thing wouldn't call you for that as I'm kinda addicted to tattle also.

It is exactly like she can’t be bothered any more. The reason people are on the tidy up bandwagon is because of Marie kondo. We know Reb doesn’t give af about copying someone else, if this was my full time important job, I would see the Marie kondo trend, watch Marie kondo stuff on tv/buy the book, or follow her page, think abut how I could add my own spin. The give home bargains or wilko or even tk maxx lwhatever a call say I’m going to do a declutter/tidy/storage solutions video - send me a gift card. Then boom there’s you video. Bit of clear out - charity shop run/buy storage at home bargains - film refill wardrobe with new storage.
Basic planning, a 1000 x better. It’s like she doesn’t give a shit.

Completely agree with all of this. However, the reason we got a half arsed video last night is that she left it to the very last minute as she was clearly banking on her branded video being approved for upload. This to me just clarifies that without advertisements/brand work, she no longer has any sustainable, organic content of her own. Therefore, what is the point in her continuing to have this as their one and only source of income? Why will she not kick that blooming husband of hers back into touch and get him out working and earning a crust again. Lee really, really wants a ski holiday.. aww diddums! Well you know what sweetie, you’ve got a big ass mortgage to pay now and a house to upkeep on one salary that is not dependable. So sorry Lee if you don’t get your ski holiday this year. Maybe you need to get out and get a job then you can go on all the ski holidays you want.

I understand that she is only speaking to herself on camera and it must be hard pretending to have the audience with you, gauging feedback to what you are saying etc but did it not cross her tiny mind yesterday that maybe the talk of the summer holiday, the ski holiday, the personal trainer, her lack of commitment to no spend January really isn’t what most are interested in the week before payday in January!? All you hear throughout everything she says is what she has, what she wants, it’s overwhelming. You can see why people would sit there and feel shit about themselves watching this type of dross. Here she is, wardrobes rammed with clothes, hubby doesn’t work, she’s the sole breadwinner, they’ve got holidays booked, they might book another, she’s got a PT.. anyone even slightly impressionable could be like WTF have I got? Why am I not like her?

Honestly, I just think it’s time she called this full time nonsense a day. It’s car crash viewing at best.

I think her problem is that unlike most other youtubers, her family is 100% reliant on her for income. (Except Daddy Cannon’s possible monthly allowance). Whereas this should have resulted in her being extremely professional with her channel, it seems to be getting to Reb. She seems scatty, unorganised, manic, flits from one thing to the next, gives up on things, gets angry with any imperfect feedback. Lee is in limbo for the viewers; is her part of the channel, is he not? Is her main focus a mummy, or are the kids going to feature less? ??‍

I think she’s lost her way, and doesn’t know how to fix it, and the pressure of supporting the huge new murder house has got to her. She says she’s fine then posts quotes suggesting otherwise. Other influencers could take a step back in her position, let the dust settle and take time to make quality content. Reb can’t afford this; she needs to keep churning out filler to try and hide and space out the #ad’s. There has been a lot of #AF’s and undeclared gifteds recently, and while they are so, so, so fortunate to have these, they won’t pay the bills. I think the wheels are coming off for her.

I will try not to ramble but ..

I am not a hater / troll I do not know the Meldrums and am probably old enough to be Rebs mother . I am not jealous of her I have worked hard in a fulfilling career and have now taken very early retirement.

Whilst working I never looked at YouTube/Instagram but with time on my hands started to look at some accounts and they made me feel my life wasn’t good enough , I can see straight through it all now ,but for a time it made me depressed even though I could do any thing I wanted.
I started to think how glad I was this wasn’t around when I was a young mother ,if it had that effect on me now god knows how I would have felt then.
I first came across Mrs Meldrum over DLP so have never followed her or even heard of her before but I was really angry and I think who ever sponsored it Tesco/DLP have a lot to answer for. She should have made it clear it was an AD but it wasn’t even a trip anyone could book so it was false advertising on their behalf. I took my children to DLP along time ago and we had a lovely time, but we only met characters when we paid extra for the breakfast. So that’s what peed me off. Most of our time was spent endlessly queuing with squabbling children and not a character in sight. So to portray the trip as a Birthday treat,that many would copy and spend money they maybe couldn’t afford ,is just is not fair when they would not get the VIP treatment afforded to them.
The advertisers are at fault ,they prey on people’s insecurities . I am sure this whole influencer bubble will soon burst.Hopefully the younger generation who were brought up on this will be more savvy and realise exactly what is going on . The Meldrums are actually victims of their own success, so cannot afford to turn down any paid work without any other earned income. Why is nobody advising them ,they really are like kids in a sweet shop , If she was my daughter I would be very concerned for her.

I see she has mentioned the freebie theatre tickets half through some waffle attached to a random photo of Poppy, albeit no # used, yet no mention nor tag at all on the photo of S in the actual #gifted theatre seats?! It’s just so sneaky.

I will happily answer your questions. As a self employed businesswoman for many years, my business was built on reputation. Most businesses are. Doing the right thing and making the right decisions is paramount when running a business. Most of us here have watched The Meldrums for a long time. We have invested our own time in their business. Despite Rebecca thinking because we don’t have to pay for her content we don’t have the right of reply, she is very wrong. Without her viewing public she would have no channel. Nobody would want her to advertise their products. No brands would want to work with her. She would not be gifted anything. Her viewing public IS her business. A couple of weeks ago she saw fit to say on her insta that it was ok for her to give the amateur theatre a very poor review because unlike her content which we don’t have to pay to see, people do have to pay to see the pantomime. She forgot to mention that SHE didn’t have to pay to see it as she was gifted the tickets, yet she felt she had the right to leave a poor review. We are just doing the same. We are exercising our right to leave her poor reviews when she doesn’t do the right thing. I for one, watched all her channels religiously until she pulled them all overnight without any kind of explanation to her viewers and followers. Not an explanation the following day, or the next, or the next. That is the contempt she holds her ‘customers’ in. She has young followers and vulnerable followers, and she doesn’t do the right thing by them. However, she reads on here and then seems to do what we are saying. If we say she should do more cooking, hey ho, there will be cooking, etc. etc. So think of us as a public service. On the other hand, the fact you couldn’t work that out for yourself after reading these threads, despite apparently being a professional hate site reader means you might want to think of a different career for yourself. You are crap at this one and my review for you is very poor.
