I suppose at least she’s not promoting it alongside her children geared content...
If she had her smarts about her she'd focus on her target market she obvs has a following, she could get some form of an rte kids gig if she was a bit cleverer about it.

Posted this on the Kneevo thread but it’s relevant to Miriam... Kneevo has on her story she is wondering how to contact Maynooth University and the child has on his story asking if anyone knows the Instagram of one of the people who tweeted about Miriam... they’re really hell bent on getting the person on Twitter kicked out of college Jesus

Surely a lot of kids would have her on Snapchat too though right?

they don’t if she threatens to sue like your man Burke did in NUIG. People laughing at him online and he threatened to sue NUIG because it was mostly students from there.

Surely a lot of kids would have her on Snapchat too though right?

I have no idea what this is about? Must have a google, but threatening to sue and there being proof of disrepute are surely very different things?

You can't celebrate getting 1m followers making terrible content, and then throw your toys out of your pram when people comment on it. She sought the attention. It's not going to be all positive. B

So in relation to the Burke Family. They are an ultra Conservative family that held protests and handed out flyers campaigning against the rights of abortion they had quite graphic posters/placards though and it all got very heated verbally towards members of the family that were attending NUIG. Some families members not students entered the campus and also started to campaign and it all kicked off at the time. The family did take a case.

On Monday 10 November 2014, Christian students Isaac Burke, Kezia Burke, Enoch Burke and Ammi Burke were banned for life from all student societies at NUI Galway. The unprecedented and shock ruling is believed to have been the first of its kind in the history of the university.

The Burkes, who are siblings, served on the Christian Union and Life Society committees during 2013 and 2014. They publicly expressed their Christian beliefs on abortion, same-sex marriage and other social issues by holding events and by using flyers and posters [1]. The Burkes were bullied, harassed and intimidated for these beliefs.

Despite lodging over a dozen complaints with university authorities, little or nothing was done to curb a culture of rampant poster ripping and abusive behaviour towards Christian students on campus [2]. The vast majority of the Burkes’ complaints were simply ignored by NUI Galway.

In late 2014, the university initiated a disciplinary process against the Burkes, accusing them of improperly using €325 from the Christian Union account to pay for flyers. The Burkes were subsequently banned for life from all student societies. The disciplinary process used by the university had never been used before and the siblings were not afforded due process.

The sanction handed down by the university was utterly disproportionate to the alleged misconduct. Evidence suggests that financial impropriety is rife amongst student societies at NUI Galway, in at least one case to the tune of more than €8,000 in unreceipted expenditure, but with no disciplinary action taken

The Burkes claim that NUI Galway discriminated against them on the grounds of their religious beliefs. They also claim that the university severely victimised them for reporting earlier acts of bullying, harassment and intimidation. After almost five years of delays and setbacks [4], their claims against the university will be heard at Galway Circuit Court from Tuesday 18 June to Thursday 20 June 2019.

Just sharing these to show ye what the girl that they are trying to get expelled said. They are trying to make out she said way worse things which is untrue
They are a bunch of fools. Miriam really needs to find her way out of the toxic friendships she has made since tiktok. She WAS actually a kind person before, if a little naive. These people have brought out the worst in her. And she is not able for it. She is still naive but now she lacks direction and composure. You can't have it both ways. Ur expected to heap praise but never criticise? She is posting all the positive bullshit that comes her way. Thst Charlene one saying she has never put a foot wrong?? She has. Numerous times. But only since she started associating with those toxic fools.

to be fair Miriam seems so harmless, she’s human she allowed to make mistakes we all are. But if she’s gonna get upset about someone not finding her skits funny she needs a new career or a thicker skin. Kneevo would want to pipe down as if she hasn’t said or done worse she’s so toxic

I just worry for Miriam cos she is clearly so easily influenced by these toxic people. I would avoid kneevo like the plague.

I had thought about an RTE gig for her as they often go with regional presenters for kids shows. Remember Mary Fitz (was that her name??) She was from Cork in the good ole days (showing my age!). But she would want to distance herself from the OF bridage and doing Lives with unaccompanied minors and really focus on her unique aspects.

Huge following (even if cringe comedy), she plays GAA (and I love when she wears her ladies GAA hoodie as it is dead cute) which makes her relatable to kids in Ireland and generally would be harmless enough. But right now she gets pulled into too much drama and the others she associates with live for stirring things up.

Agreed, if she went back to herself of a year to 18 months ago she'd be laughing as she would be more appropriate for being brand ambassador and paid promotions. If she wants longevity at this she has some calls to make regarding who she associates herself with.

there was an NUIG student, Simon Burke who was muted during a student meeting and held up a sign complaining about it. He went viral because of people photoshopping the sign to take the piss and he and his family threatened to sue NUIG for defamation (our defamation laws are pretty broad and can be used for a lot) if they didn’t take action against those (other students in NUIG really) who’d been taking the pis

There was another one where Simon Burke the youngest I think, went viral after he was claimed he was silenced for being muted during a student council meeting. He held up a sign to complain, someone screenshotted it and photoshopped it and obviously it spread. That happened late last year/early this year. They threatened to sue for defamation if action wasn’t taken against the NUIG students, including one Cian being threatened with expulsion. If you search #IStandWithCian or #FreeCian on Twitter you’ll see it
