Mid-plus size hot girl summer!

Hello! Hope this is okay to post and the right section to post in - I’ve never posted a thread before!!!

Hot weather is soon approaching and I know it’s something I stress about, the thought of wearing things suitable for that time of year, not feeling too self conscious having my body out, things not suiting you because you have boobs but being ever so pretty - also COMFY BRALETTES because who likes underwiring 😂, not knowing what suits MY body, chafing (!) and also the fact that so often a lot of influencers tend to be quite small in comparison finding it hard to find relatable people to look for to fashion advice.

I’d thought I’d post this thread so if anyone wanted to share any tips, any wardrobe staples they have or or have recently bought, any recommendations for chafing shorts etc, any accounts they love to follow who would cater to this, any items of clothing they’ve got their eyes on and their experiences with companies for sizing. I thought maybe it would help anyone in the same boat have a comfortable summer 💛😘

Liquid talc is an absolute life saver for chafing! I get it from the baby section in Asda for about 70p

Also mid-size looking for some outfit inspo so I’ll be keeping an eye on this thread!

Chub rub shorts 💯 they are like tight material but have a technology to keep you cool on those hot leg rubbing days 😂 x

I didn’t know liquid talc was a think! I’ve only ever seen powdered talc so that’s interesting, might give it a go!!

Oooooo is chub rub shorts a brand? I’ve ordered some cheap ones for like £6 from asos that are like tights but looking to find the best ones tried and tested!!

That asda liquid talc is an absolute lifesaver! I love it, and a bargain too. I always find myself NOT telling people about it because I don't want it to sell out :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I also like to buy nude coloured cycling shorts to wear under dresses / skirts to stop the chub rub

Love this!
Summer gives me the dread as I am a ‘coat’ person. Not sure if weight related or just me but I’ve always got a coat on and I always overheat and get stressy. My goal this summer is to go out not wearing a coat. I’m around a size 18 and just had a baby so looking for some easy outfits I can wear out and not feel uncomfortable. 🤞

I really like kimono jacket/coverup style things, I got a few last year to wear instead of cardigans and jackets.

I love cycle shorts for under skirts and dresses, so comfy and no thigh rub! I always get pretty cheap ones off Amazon just.

My favourite summer outfit, and I genuinely think it suits all body sizes, is midi dresses and trainers. So comfy but cute. A denim jacket over the top if its chilly or for evening.

I'm not really plus size but I am super duper pale and very anxious about sun burn so always eager to hear suggestions for things that are summery but quite covered up! I obviously use SPF but just prefer to minimize my sun exposure in general.

I use roll on deodorant between my legs, have to walk round like John Wayne till it dries but once it’s dried it lasts all day no rubbing

I’m a size 14-16 (more 16 after having my 3rd baby 4 months ago!) and I love playsuits and jumpsuits in the summer. I tend to scroll through eBay at the new with tags items because then I can narrow down what I’m looking for without being brand specific.

What is snag tights like for sizing? Have people just ordered their normal size or?
I used the size guide on their website and found the size recommended for my usual dress size and height to be correct. I’ve bought both their tights and chub rub shorts 😊
