Michael Barrymore - Death in the pool #2

I was 14 years old when this poor guy died. I'm 39 now and I've always felt a deep sense of unease about the whole case...even back then something struck me as odd as a child...
I was not convinced his passing was accidental. There's something seedy and sinister about the whole thing. Michael Barrymore was a regular in my household on telly as a child of the 90's, and so when it came to light this happened at Michael's house I was absolutely appalled and stunned.

I can say many years on this case still fills me with dread and unease, I don't understand his death it was needless and a waste of life. Why is this shrouded in so much mystery?

Seeing Michael doing the rounds on tiktok doesn't sit well with me as he is at the centre of this case. There's no way he couldn't have been aware of the goings on that fateful day. I fear the truth is never going to come out and it's unfair as Stuart and his family deserve nothing but the truth.

His name came up recently with my kids and my youngest said he’s a lovely guy and posts such wholesome content on tt. It’s a worry that people can just rewrite history without any consequences.
He’s moved to a beautiful place where most people can’t afford to live, or even go on holiday or even get into a local cafe for a coffee, it’s second home central , most locals are very moneyed and no doubt all over him like a rash because he’s a ‘celebrity’ .
It makes me sick how bad people seem to prosper and I hate the thought of young potentially vulnerable people being taken in by his new ‘wholesome’ persona.

He claims he called the ambulance in his video. Unless 2 people called it, he didn't. They played the 999 call on "Death In The Pool" and it was one of the other lads. I suppose it's possible 2 emergency calls came from the house but surely Barrymore's call would have been played also if that were the case.

I thought he ran away and hid when Stuart was discovered and went to stay at someone else’s house in the village? That’s part of the reason everyone thinks he’s a selfish cunt.

Also relevant from the current case of the murder of Preston Davey has been several Drs and Pathologists utterly refuting that the men in this case are trying to pull the same BS of “the resuscitation must have caused the injuries” it has been stated again and again that damage after death is different, because the blood isnt circulating.
Anyone doing an autopsy knows the difference between damage before, and after death.
And the law of averages tells us that when a young man dies in mysterious circumstances in the presence of gay men, the anal injuries are more likely to be from a sexual assault before/during death, not caused by mysterious, never before noticed medical wronguns who mysteriously only target men who just so have happened to have died where gay men are implicated in murder, but not any other corpses at all.

I couldn’t accept his way of looking slick and smart at the expense of ordinary people who didn’t have the TV/stage experience and confidence he had.
You don’t make yourself look big by making others look small - you just look the bully you are.

I think they were passing him around and abusing him and he drowned. I don’t doubt it was accidental but they are responsible for his manslaughter.

Just saw he is now trying to claim the injuries happened after Stuart passed. I went on a deep dive and found an article from The Guardian back in 2002 which mentioned that back when it happened, the press tried to claim the injuries were down to a...thermometer, the reason being his temp needed to be checked constantly and a nurse who spoke at the enquiry thought the same. Pathologists unsurprisingly said that was bullshit.

I remember my nan back when he was at the peak of his fame saying he’s not a nice man and she stopped watching him. I didn’t get it at the time but thinking back and watching old clips that pop up, yes, he was a spiteful bitch, his popularity then and now is baffling.

Although I guess perhaps if they were elsewhere in the house and didn't actually see what happened, maybe they've nothing of substance to tell. But if neighbours allegedly heard screams, they must have too? They surely can't have loyalty to Barrymore after all these years? Were they paid off? If they signed NDAs that would mean nothing as where there is a crime an NDA doesn't hold water. Why has there been so much silence?

Police incompetence in the 90s in Essex is well known. The Essex Boys case was a Royal cock up as well with possibly a huge miscarriage of justice.

The only reason I can think of that they're staying quiet now is that they've been told if they 'throw him under the bus' he'll take them with him. I don't know why they'd have loyalty to him even then, never mind now and I don't think he'd have enough money to pay them all off unless they're very cheap.

That or they are/were married with kids and don't want anyone to know they aren't 100% straight. Sounds mad in this day and age but people still cover it up.

Nope no evidence at all he was even curious.
Split from his wife, moved back in with his dad and brother who was his best mate, they went out together pub/clubbing every weekend. I think his daughters were 4 and 1.
