Melanie, he is three. Find a more age appropriate fairy tale.

Stop using your toddler as an emotional dumping ground in your constant need for martyrdom and grow the fuck up.
Love this post. I think it's actually so typical of Mel to shame mums for a glass of wine and the entire "wine mom" thing. Dad's can come home after a hard day of work and drink a beer and nobody bats an eyelid. Motherhood is hard, you get breaks at work. You might listen to a podcast on the way into work. Mothers can never switch off. There is no real downtime. Once the kids are down what fucking harm is a glass of wine and the evening to yourself? I guess we are all shitty mothers because we don't climb into bed beside them at 8 o'clock at night and then park them in front of the TV all day so she can film another breastfeeding reel.Funnily enough, when it comes to topics around parenting, she only seems to care about the ones that let her act all high and mighty and put other mothers down. She goes on and on about breastfeeding and sobriety. However, she never seems to mention exercise/spending time outdoors or socialization. I'm sure there are numerous studies (and not the "studies" that she keeps citing) on the importance of interacting with other children. But Melanie wouldn't want to mention those because she's too lazy to go outside with her kids.
Imagine being that insecure. When you're comfortable in your own skin, you don't need to hype yourself up by putting others down. I'm far past being angry with her, now I just feel sorry for her.
And by the way, the amount of alcohol in breast milk is the same as in your blood. This has been proven in numerous studies over the years. So if you have one drink, there's around 0.02 percent alcohol in your breast milk. That's less than the amount in vitamin D drops that are aimed at infants. They usually advise breastfeeding mothers not to drink because they don't want them to be drunk while handling the baby but the milk itself will not do the baby any harm.
This is coming from someone who doesn't even drink due to health reasons. But guess what? I don't care what other women do. If a glass of wine helps them get through the day and they make sure that they don't harm their baby, by all means, go for it.
Ma of the year behaviour. That's fucked up. The fact that she still spins a tale about being forced an intervention "to hurry her up" is twisted. Most of us on this thread saw her initial story in comments on ig days after her birth... They were then deleted in order to make a more harrowing and false account of her labour which makes her look more like the victim.
The bit where she's says she doesn't want her kids thinking that she thinks the are difficult and that's why she needs a drink is just fucking gas and so high and mighty. The new video about wine mums. I am actually speechless. I genuinely do not know how she thought any of that was OK to post. She basically shamed 90% of parents in one video. I have a REAL alcoholic parent so know a thing or too about ACTUAL alcohol abuse and what it does to families, she's basically categorising everyone who likes a glass of wine with dinner or at the end of a hard week as an alcoholic who should be ashamed of themselves.
She actually makes out like having that glass of wine is choosing alcohol over your child or saying that you will damage your child be making jokes about needing a drink after a shitty parenting a threenager day because it will make them think they are the cause of that parents frustration/alcohol consumption. Mel, I highly doubt these 3 year olds are on fb looking at the memes their parents are sharing about these things nor do I think any good parent in their right mind would say such things directly to their children. Bore off. It's a bit of a laugh between adults because parenting absolutely sicks sometimes when the kids are on one and yup a glass of wine is sometimes just the ticket.
This is entirely different than getting bladdered in front of your kids, neglecting them for alcohol and drinking bottles of wine every night. It can be done responsibly and doesn't make you a bad person or a freaking alcoholic because you like a glass of goddamn wine!
She is an actual loonatic who is clearly wishing she could join in.
On Keelin Moncrieff's latest reel on STI testing. Because of course Mel would have to give her two cents. She's literally the last person I'd ever trust to actually go and get tested, which is awful considering she's always been so against using protection
