Has anyone ever bought any of the new style mattresses that are on sale now? Like the Emma or the Otty or the Eve????

We need a new one, but want honest reviews of these types before we buy.

We have the Emma mattress and really like it. It has a long trial period (200 days?) so lots of time to decide if you like it and if not you can return it for a full refund. You can usually find a discount code on line too

We got an Emma one last month and I love it! Scout about for discount codes though.

We bought a nectar and would not recommend it. Luckily they have a great 365 day trial so we will be returning it.

I wonder what happens to them after they've been returned? Surely they aren't like electronics that are refurbished and sold on .

It wouldn’t surprise me if they weren’t cleaned in some way and re-sold.

Surely they must declare it? Unless they are took apart and reassembled or recycled into something else.

I dunno. I guess shops do it all the time with clothing that is bought and then returned don’t they although I know that’s supposed to be unworn items but they for sure must chemically clean items to resell?

They might donate them to charity. I'm pretty sure Ikea used to do this with the ones returned under their satisfaction guarantee

Nectar conditions are it has to be in perfect condition (use the mattress protector!) and it’s donated to British Heart Foundation

Returning clothes with the labels on is totally different to sleeping ( and other things that happen in normal mattress use) for 3- 6 months .

I would like a new mattress but I don't think I could be arsed with returning it after the trial and looking for an alternative.

I think most people are satisfied enough not to return them, it’s only if they really don’t get on with it that they send them back. I worked at IKEA a few years ago and considering how many mattresses they sell each week, very few are returned. It’s good to have the option though
