MAKE-UP The good, the bad, the ugly

Please can people tell me all about your make-up collection- the good the bad and the weird!

I am so nosey, and i love make-up, both high end and drug store dupes, and i want to treat myself to a few bits and pieces. So please tell me all your favourites, plus the crap things that you wish you never wasted your money on! From everything from primer to eyebrows, and everything in between!

My issue is i can never find the right contour pallete/shade for me. I prefer the more cool toned/neutral contour shades as opposed to warm bronzer type shades. I have been really tempted to buy the KKW contour but i cant justify the price and shipping fee.

I probably buy a lot of foundation and concelear and i love testing it and finding the right coverage and formula. And i love both highend and drug store- the maybeline dream cover urban foundation is one of my absolute favourite foundations of all time!

Also, what is everyones favourite pressed and loose powder? I have heard Boots No.7 does a brilliant dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury powder. Can anyone confirm this? Or is best to just continue with my beloved CT?

Hopefully this can be a thread where we talk all things mae-up, and also give each other advice as well :)

I love the KVD contour palette! Also love Fenty, The lip paints are great. ABH dipbrow is an absolute essential as are the Modern Renaissance and Soft Glam palettes. Equally love NYX and sleek for highlighters, eyeshadow palettes, and lipstick. I have way too much make up 😉😂

Love me some make up!!

Love:
Nars sheer glow foundation
Estee lauder double wear foundation
Urban decay all nighters setting spray
Maybeline lash sensation mascara
Morphe tinted lip balms
Maybeline ultra skinny brow pencil
Sleek contour palette
Elf mint primer
Nyx honey primer

Wish I'd never bought:
Make up revolution bronzer - far too patchy
Estee lauder mascara- wasn't worth it
Mac studio fox foundation - didn't like the formula
Givency mascara - again wasn't worth the cost

I love trying out new bits and I'm not particularly loyal to anything aside from foundation. I've not found a holy grail powder yet either!

I love hourglass powders, bronzers, blushers. I’ve been repurchasing for years (and they last!)

Am still looking for my perfect eye palette- most recent is a KVD one which is ok but some colours are weird. I love Chantecaille eye colours but they are £££

newest lipstick obsession is shisheido visionary (see Sali h thread 😂)

I’ve got years in the beauty industry in a past life under my belt and have tried most things so have a bit of product fatigue tbh. I try to invest in things that work and hate being disappointed

Has anyone got any brow tips, I’ve just bought a glue to start brushing them up they look ridiculous though what am I doing wrong 😂

I love the huda beauty legit lashes mascara and benefit bad gal bang. Also love tarte man eater.

If you want a cheaper mascara the essence princess lash false lashes effect is incredible as well.
Essence mascaras are AMAZING, I like their eyeliners too. Crazy how inexpensive they are but still brilliant products.

I’ve been using Beauty Blender Bounce foundation (which I also loved, but the packaging was tit) for a good year but it’s gotten much harder to get hold of lately. Have switched to MAC Pro Longwear but not sure I’ll stick with it.

I normally use a Fenty stick for contour but mine is just a little stub now so time for a new one and would love suggestions for an alternative.

I know this isn’t makeup but I’ve also recently tried Lashify and having so much fun doing my own longer lasting lashes 😁 I know there are alternatives out there like Kiss Falscara so might give those a go too
