Quick warning for anyone who has done the Christmas food to order, the £100 seafood platter will not fit in my standard fridge! It’s just slightly too big. I had to separate it all into Tupperware 😭 also the oysters come in this massive splintery wooden box but quality of the shucker is gorgeous

I know I’m among pros in this thread, will there be a lot of yellow stickers on Xmas Eve on Xmas food or do they not need to as can flog it after Xmas day? If no chance of yellow sticker bargains I may as well go this afternoon or tomorrow!

For various reasons I’m having to cut a lot out of my diet in Jan, so I’ve been trying a few “made withouts” here and there, but the M&S made without dairy chocolate is actually pretty good! ♥

Im poppin in after work 2day. I don’t expect there will be lots of yellow stickers 2day as most dates now will be 24/25 I reckon?

I'm going to my local on Christmas eve morning before 7am (I will be on the way back from a nightshift, seems easier than waking up and going in the afternoon if the store opens specially at 6am). I'm hoping for early yellow stickers and to stock up on everything I have forgotten for Christmas/Boxing day....

Is anyone else planning on being in that early? Will it be elbows at (actual) dawn?

I used to do the 7am open when my mum still worked full time (she's retired now, so picks up the M and S stuff over a few weeks), and it always looked busy as a small crowd formed, but once we got in there was only abut 30 people total.

Last year, it was yellow stickers a go go on the 27th but didn't spot much on the 23rd/24th.

In my experience there are yellow stickers on the roast potatoes, mash etc but if you want the cauliflower cheese I wouldn't wait. I have seen the variety prepped veg for 6 on a yellow ( the only way to get the cauliflower cheese) there's also usually Turkeys
ETA I'm going at 6pm ish because I wouldn't mind an extra gratin on a yellow but I've got what I need already.
Not usually too busy Xmas eve afternoon

While I’ve given up on my hunt for munch, I did get some of the blonde chocolate pecans after seeing them recommended on here- nearly finished them all while doing the last of the wrapping! Definitely need to buy more! 😍 Also got some chicken tikka samosas on a yellow sticker, heated them up in the airfryer, lovely!

Went for shop opening on Christmas Eve a few years ago and it was literally empty, I was the only customer in the place.

Hat's off to M&S, I've always found them best stocked at Christmas, I never have an issue getting what I want whatever time of day I go.

Party food question - has anyone tried the beef filled Yorkshire puddings? They are on my list to try for a party food dinner between Christmas and New Year.

I want to hit up my local tomorrow… scared it’s going to be a shitshow 😬

The iced and spiced buns are one of my perennial faves. I used to work in a hospital with an on-site M&S food circa 2008 and I’ve been buying those buns ever since!

I need to visit the big town center store near my office tomorrow as I haven't got any party food in and I need it for boxing day.

It's either going to be heaving or dead.

My mum works in a supermarket and has said Thursday/Friday last week were far busier than they normally are, so I'm hoping everyone did their shopping last week and tomorrow will be quiet.

I got the duck spring rolls from the party food and the pot of hoisin sauce is not even half full. Definitely not enough for 12. Robbing guys!

My friendship group chat says everywhere was v quiet this afternoon (spread across the UK). Going to do an M and S top up tomorrow evening, then hopefully done as Mr. Sainsbos delivered right on time this evening.

Went to my local M&S just before closing this evening, the shelves were absolutely heaving, I assumed there’d be quite a few gaps but nope! (Kensington high street)

I’ve just demolished the posh profiteroles… I’ll definitely be getting another box for my xmas day evening snack!

Has anyone had the bacon & cheese turnovers or the almond & hazelnut croissants? (both from the frozen section)

I'm planning on getting them for Christmas breakfast along with some packets of prepared fruit

£6 for two turnovers seems a bit excessive but hey, it's Christmas 🤷‍♀️😅
I've tried the hazelnut and almond ones and wasn't very impressed. They just weren't very nice, weird flavour to them.
