Oh my. I'm off to have a bit of a nosey ...
And she was not seen at the recent Karen Millen shoot ...
I remember someone here commenting (possibly around about Christmas time) that changing the dynamics in the office by including more staff working together may easily cause dissent. Maybe that observation was correct and prophetic...I must admit that Office Politics can make some unhappy if it isn’t handled sympathetically. In my own experience who you put in each office and where you seat them can be a very important consideration when you want to achieve the good of all. I remember the post here because it definitely resonated.

Solidarity Avatar duly noted! Welcome - we are now 65 :( !

(don’t be a stranger :D)

Thank you!! Congratulations on becoming a VIP member btw (hope it’s not weird that I noticed 😳). Your Fur Babies stories (and everyone’s photos of their own FBs) have kept me very comforted during these weird times.

I remember this as well. I think it was around Carrie's birthday where Lydia refused to have a piece of the birthday cake and where Dee's very thoughtful gift to Carrie was shown. It was a very telling vlog.

I DID NOT NOTICE NO! Thanks sooo much for pointing it out! YAY! Happy Bunny 🐇 x

I am SO, SO happy to hear that you found ’Fur Babies‘ comforting and thank you so much for mentioning it - it was a labour of love. I loved all the photos too and took screenshots of every one of them and will keep them forever.

I’m glad you’ve come to join us and I love your name :m and the 🐝 . Vitamin Tea will be so good for us ;)

Oh my Dog! Page - same - on it! I can’t bear my own mistakes either. When I re-read ‘Fur Babies‘ as a full document I was cringing at all the mistakes that I made! It was quite literally a head-in-hands cringefest 😧. The thing that took me the longest was the editing and re-editing before I put it up and STILL I made stupid errors like there instead of their etc etc. Also, I was the same with proof-reading examination papers and cross-referencing etc. I am also the same with table manners. I can’t bear seeing cutlery waving around or not holding a knife and fork correctly. Also can’t bear animal cruelty. Feels like I’ve been haunted by all 3 things forever. I getcha’ soul-sister - I really do.

Now I’m agonising over the apostrophe in getcha ‘cos it looks wrong...duh...😎

🤣
Yes! Ive just been catching up on the avatars and reading all the posts I missed earlier today. When I’m writing or absorbed I can lose track of time because I’m enjoying myself! Teddy Bear loves it because he gets even more attention 🤣

For the sake of clarity for anyone who is new or for anyone catching up please may I just point out that @Pixel Girl changed her Avatar to an inanimate object in the previous thread giving her good reasons for doing so. I then stood in solidarity with her and changed my avatar in support of @PixelGirl. After that it started organically that others started changing theirs too. I don’t remember either of us putting it forward as a formal suggestion that avatars should be changed. My recollection is that when it got to 5 changes I started to record everyone who changed their avatar. It’s been a hilariously funny (IMO) organic growth. I think when it got to about 12 I said that I looked forward to seeing if anyone else joined in. I wouldn’t want anyone to think this was coercion or that anyone should feel obliged to change their avatar as this is very definitely not the case. We’ve had such fun especially with carrots and pie and everyone’s inventiveness though haven’t we? We seem to have created a new spin on Revolution - inasmuch as we’ve created a very funny one 😂

This is Josie‘s planner. Lydia just has no own personality, it‘s kinda sad. The dog, the sunday roast ( or the trial to make one.. ), the series, frosty mornings, .. I could go on forever ! I really liked Lydia when she was in her old house and her videos were fun to watch. But now she‘s just snobby lady of the manor. Ali it‘s not too late to find a nice girl that loves photography and animals. 😂

How would you like me to best describe your new gremlin avatar please? ;)
Greta Gremlin DOES NOT have any lip filler, AT ALL. :sneaky: (I love the gremlins, love that she looks better than our Lidl- a latex/plastic puppet. 😂)

Greta Gremlin!
Lip Filler? NONE!

I’m not going to lie @theredgossiper, part of me feels awful for writing that post, but at the same time it’s incredibly hard to to ignore the way Lydia is behaving.

All four of my Grandparents died in the same year when I was in my teens and it was very nearly the end of me ... my grief was all consuming and I couldn’t escape it no matter how hard I tried. Thankfully my Mum realised I wasn’t coping as well as my siblings and had me referred to a Psychiatrist who specialised in Grief Counselling, so it’s definitely possible that my own experience is clouding my judgement when it comes to Lydia’s behaviour at the moment.

I’m not perfect, not even close, but I have always had a natural compassion for anyone who is dealing with a personal loss - however, when it comes to Lydia, for some reason I just cannot summon up any sympathy for her, even though it goes against everything I believe in and stand for.
Her poor Mother must be devastated by the whole situation and there’s her only child, posting on all of her social media accounts like she is completely unaffected by this family tragedy ... it’s appalling!

Personally, the thing about Lydia that seems seriously off to me is that the things she’s posting on Instagram and Twitter have absolutely nothing to do with her work, despite her claiming otherwise ... for all intents and purposes it appears that she’s simply taking this opportunity to show off and boast about the material things she is continuing to accumulate, and THAT is just not normal grieving behaviour.
Have only just read this SS! I am SO very sorry - that must have been THE most gruelling time for you. Really. Full marks to your mother for helping you - many wouldn’t. Your compassion shines. I think many of us feel a bit rotten at times vis Lydia and then she goes and does something else that shakes the reality back into us.

I don’t want to jump on the bandwagon over her grandfather because he was definitely lovely but I must say that the one thing most would have not criticised her for taking more time off for was this. Yet she has seemingly carried on as normal. That has surprised me but I really do understand that grief takes people in different ways. One of our graduates at the office absolutely refused the compassionate leave I gave him when his father died for instance. He said it was important for him to remain occupied.

I have changed my avatar to a white mini, which she used to drive when I first followed her. She probably believes this car is only for peasants now and surely too small a car for the lady of the manor

Someone used the phrase “chalk and cheese” a few dozen or so phases back and I set that to my new avatar because it’s hilarious!
lol I think that was me, I love that phrase and used it as a comparison of Victoria and Lydiot.
And if it wasn't me then I should have used it anyway. ;-). Love your avatar.

I understand why you'd feel that way, but rest assured that you only voiced what many of us are thinking.

I do wonder if buying and acquiring material things is one of her coping mechanisms? I know I went through a phase of ordering A LOT of things to make up for something I thought was missing in my life (I'm well over it now).

I wonder if Nonno’s will has been read already and she’s gotten some inheritance. Would be totally her MO to take her dead grandfather’s money before his body’s cold and buy an Hermès just to feel more superior.
Not gonna lie, when I saw her spending such an incredible amount of money in such a short timeframe I did wonder if she had somehow gotten her hands on some kind of inheritance...

Has she stopped the bot buying? Has anyone heard of Georgia portagallo whatever her name is, she’s got an influencing agency but her latest posts show her clients growing their followers fast, did some digging and she’s grown 13,000 followers in one month. It’s so obvious her programme is encouraging bot buying, does anyone know anyone in it?
She says she works with big brands and I’m like no one check how obvious her following is so fake she needs to be cancelled. Hotel spending their money thinking brands won’t eventually catch on.

People not hotel lol *

I agree with everything you said about Lydia. But writing “frosty mornings” in planner, it sounds so childlike. And why do all those gurus act and look the same (old money retired country women). They are all young people but they are actually so boring.
