Isn't she supposed to have AD in the title?

This is starting to piss me off. If you're gonna go and make 2/3 of your content advertising, at least bleeping have some integrity. This morning she did, I’m sure of it, gone to watch it this afternoon, not there
I think this is the choice she’s made, she will use her shop as a hobby and something she enjoys, using Instagram and YouTube purely for ADs, I don’t know if she’s stated thatOut of her last 7 videos, 5 of them are ads.... Not sure how she's getting away with that without some kind of major backlash from her subscribers. Don't even get me started on her instagram posts/stories.
But why does it make you feel like that, if I may ask?It seems that way but like many others, I use Youtube as a way to relax and watch some people that entertain me, not to get inspiration for my next shopping trip. Constantly being subjected to ads has actually started to give me anxiety. I might keep my nonessential shopping to a need/treat basis but it feels like even my free time activities are yelling at me to buy, buy, buy. I know she has to earn her living but come on. Her platforms are starting to look like a catalogue.
I'm generally anxiety prone and I've been so tired of the consumerist culture of the general youtube scene. (Remember the weekly primark/boots/topshop/whatever hauls? I don't see them much anymore but they were everywhere.) I don't watch Youtube too much anymore, at least not "youtubers" so when a handful of people I do enjoy to see start shoving products down my throat, it really bothers me. I know it doesn't require me to buy anything by law but but I want to be able to watch something without also constantly hearing an insincere bit about whatever product they aren't actually using. But why does it make you feel like that, if I may ask?
I have watched all of Lucy’s last videos and didn’t have a single desire to go and buy anything she promotes, even though we actually need a new TV An ad is an ad, it doesn’t require you to buy anything.
But that’s what “generic” YouTuber is about though? If it’s a booktuber, they want you to read and buy books they talk about. If it’s a lifestyle/fashion/beauty youtuber, they want you to buy their lifestyle/clothes/makeup they promote.I'm generally anxiety prone and I've been so tired of the consumerist culture of the general youtube scene. I totally agree with this, humans have literally set this planet on fire, there is enough clothing already produced to clothe the next 6 generations. Being aware of this and still being surrounded with the culture of "buy, buy, buy" even when trying to relax and watch some light entertainment takes its toll.I'm generally anxiety prone and I've been so tired of the consumerist culture of the general youtube scene. I'm not opposing that in any way, neither do I have an illusion about what social media platforms are. The key word to me in your reply is "time to time". It's a difficult balance for the content creator too, and I'm afraid a no win situation as well. If they cut it out altogether, their income will decrease significantly, if they push the ads a lot for a better income, they risk appearing as shopping channel presenters and some viewers might object. It's great that the ads don't bother you! It's just not something that I enjoy seeing in 4 posts/videos out of 5. I'm not offering a solution to my own issue with it, merely expressing my feelings. But that’s what “generic” YouTuber is about though? I would try to watch someone like Sustainably Vegan, it any other minimalist youtubers, but even they from time to time promote products, because they need to earn money?
OMG That last line just sums up the influencers right now.It shouls be 1 ad to every 5 non ads. That would be nicer for the viewer, a otherwise i won't watch the ads. A nice vlog with some calming everday mundane activities or a story time. Book reviews or recipe reviews would fit Lucy's channel. She also has a lot of diy to do.
No i don't want to pay full price for a television you got for free. Funny that.
I know, she started off so well but the ads inevitably come when they make YouTube their full time income. She’s just an endless carousel of advertising. It’s a shame because I hate being sold things, jovially or not.
