Lorna is really getting on my nerves this week. She wants to step in to the real fucking world and see how rest of us are all coping... cos I don't know if anyone else has noticed but every Thursday she posts the SAME PHOTO of her and John 'thanking' the nhs with the same quote each week.. zero thought goes in to it, you never see her clapping, nothing.. just that tragic selfie of her red eyeliner and the sugar daddy. Then we have her telling us she's been really tired this week as she hasn't been able to take her vitamins because she's had to do some 'blood tests' to see if she has some deficiencies because her hair has no volume... God it must be such hard work Lorna sitting in front of a mirror every morning pasting make up all over your face!! Think me and my work mates would prefer to be doing that than spending 12 hours on our feet on a covid ward with full PPE on. Step in to the real world love. Your running round your flat looking like bloody pebbles from flint stones in your nappy. Have a bit of consideration for people worse of than you. You don't give a shit about nhs staff or any frontline staff so don't try acting like it

Hello all... very long term lurker but it's time to be set free haha! I've followed LL for about a year now and I've got to say I was quite a fan at first...until I found her tattle thread and my eyes were opened! I ALWAYS wondered how they afforded that house, I was adamant the OAP must have come from old money but now of course it all makes sense...it's funny how things are so obvious when you have a little info, always seeing the same little corners, cleansing on the bedroom floor (?!) I remember a while ago she said she would never do a house tour because it would be like giving burglars a floor plan to her house....no turns out she would never do a house tour because then we'd all see the truth! Anyway, the reason I wanted to post was because back when I was still a fan I messaged her a few times- one was when she launched the ITS collection with all the royal names. I'm a bit of a royal fan girl and messaged her saying so and that I loved the names, her reply? A single laughing emoji. That was the final nail for me haha... always makes me laugh when she says she's spent ages replying to DM's because I just wonder what emojis she's been sending out haha (sorry for the long post, promise I won't ramble anymore haha)

I wasn’t going to post this but it’s been bothering me for about a week now and seeing your post has given me some confidence! I like you have followed her for about a year and liked her. I started my own brand last year, which as you can imagine is struggling atm, anyway.... I’ve never touched influencers because they don’t seem to understand that it’s a huge expense for a small business and a start up (I do have some quite funny inboxes from influencers requesting freebies for another post and when i reply - can you guarantee me an ROI? I need to see x% in sales for this to be worth my while they soon bugger off) anyway! Sorry if you’re still with me I’ll get to the point.
I messaged her the other night asking ONLY if influencers like her would ever consider working with a start-up or does there have to be some momentum behind the brand. Well the reply I got knocked me sideways and I’ve not been able to stop thinking about it. She looked at my brands Insta and told me that I should “start from scratch” (direct quote). I felt so insulted and it didn’t answer my question. I’ve had professionals working with me on this etc. I don’t need to chime off my C.V. I just replied very happy but inside I was like wtf but it’s been bothering me for days. Since all this I’ve found her EXTREMELY passive aggressive like the emoji reply and this filter I’ve had over my eyes has been lifted.
p.s. not upset that LL doesn’t like my brand but the sheer audacity of the reply “start from scratch” makes me scared for the deluded authority and arrogance influencers think they have.
I hope I don’t receive hate for posting this from anyone - I just needed to get this off my chest with other people who see through her filter.

Hi again! So here is the Jimmy Choo story. JC’s press dinners are quite well known within the influencer community. They have quite a high budget for advertising and almost all the influencers try really hard to get invited to those dinners. They don’t even ask too much in return, just a couple of posts or stories on ig, that’s all. Mrs not so luxe managed to score herself an invitation. She likes to play it ‘cool’ by trying to play it ‘natural’, like ‘oh look at me, I’m just attending this niche event, I forgot I was invited’ but the truth is she tried really hard to be there and was counting days for the event. Anyway, she attends the dinner with a bare mention of Jimmy Choo. She posts the stunning dining table by tagging the influencers who also attended (so she can appear to be connected with such ‘well known’ figures) but not mentioning JC. Then she posts her handbag on the dining chair by tagging the brand of the handbag (competitor to JC) I believe it was Chanel but I can’t remember precisely. So quite naturally and expectedly, JC banned her to attend the future events. As I said , I have quite a few of these stories but I don’t want to reveal my identity.

Hi everyone - I've not commented on her thread before but I did watch last nights sh$t show. She looked like a Macchiato, snow white face, dark brown body! Also this morning she mentioned being "puffy" and she sounds stuffed up, i can only assume it's because she spent the night crying which makes me feel almost sorry for her, she can't have thought that went well!!! I’m back!
That was a lot of reading and tbh I’m still at the beginning of thread 3 but I think that is kinda where I started out so....

The reading of the other 2 threads was something else. I have a lot of opinions but I’m going to suffice to say this;

The impact this level of deception can have on a person is real. I believed a lot of what she said / sold and now with the réalisation that most, if not all, of what she says comes from sitting behind a face / body altering filter is upsetting. I feel a bit stupid saying that. I’m in my late 30’s and don’t consider myself naive but she totally had me.

People talk about deceiving kids and young followers but in my opinion deception is deception. It doesn’t matter how old you are or what they’re trying to prove / sell - if lies have to be told or the truth manipulated then it’s wrong. It’s that simple.

The depth of inauthenticity is staggering and as someone else said in one of the threads, hopefully the current situation will bring these influencers to their knees and show them up for what the majority are which is clearly talentless, lying cretins.

Instead of “looking for John“ all the time, perhaps she should spend some time looking for her moral compass.

And finally, I am AMAZED that no one who cares for her is not addressing this behaviour. If I started posting seriously altered pictures / videos of myself my family, my friends, my boyfriend would be doing something about it. Influencer or not.

In absolute bloody disbelief at the DRIVEL she post every single day. Does she not have any real friends? Where is John? Why does she have to ‘find’ him to have a ‘play’? All very sinister when you consider that she is in her late 30s and married to a man close to retirement (if he can afford to!!!)

I’m genuinely baffled by every single thing she does- I initially found this thread because it annoyed me how she said ‘ever so’ every other sentence (pun intended) but she has just got so much worse since lockdown.she needs to stop using whatever app she uses to filter her face -its not working hun we can see the warping!

I would completely ignore her disgraceful comment. You asked a question. She could have been more gracious.

I learnt one thing from social media. Especially the gram. It was from a certain individual called James Smith. He can be somewhat passive aggressive, but a lovely bloke who has done incredible in the fitness industry. He categorically will not do any sponsored advertisements. Why ? Because most influencers that get flogged freebies would not use them on an everyday basis and not be dedicated to that brand, than consume the freebies they get, than just pay for them out there own pocket.

Basically you have to 100% be into a brand and believe in it.

I used to like her. Now, in lock down & more time to consume a tiny screen and watch her performances, i find her incredibly vapid. Please tell me what her actual job is ? Tell me how she influences people. ????

I think a wake up call needs to be had.

Life after lock down is going to knock people side ways. Financially and emotionally. Do we really need this excessive consumerism shoved in our faces. The debt of this country is and will be phenomenal. People like her are feeding insecure girls into thinking they have to momentarily buy, buy, buy to look like LL. I’m sorry but I do not get it.

I buy for me. For my own taste. This cheap, throw away fashion needs to stop.

All these tags of brands and freebies is not for her followers, but so she gets a constant feed of ‘freebies’

After what the world has gone through... an influencer is not someone that sits in a bathrobe and spends an hour showing us her makeup tutorials. If she had more hobbies, or more depth into the world around her, I wouldn’t be posting photos on here of troll dolls.

To me it’s all a joke. I’m just a yogi / fitness girl.. I’m feminine, I love my fashion. But man. Wake up. Smell the coffee. She’s almost 40, & lives in a bubble of insecurities and a vortex of self consumption. It’s boring. I would respect her more if she showed more than the same thing everyday.

It’s like watching a soap. You know what to expect on the next episode.

I’ve just viewed that Imogenation page and her IG. My God. I’m perversely intrigued by it all.
A while ago I did a workshop ( I have to do this diplomatically) - full of social media gurus & “experts” discussing social media and mental health and positive body image.
There were plus sized representatives ( whom I overheard discussing how disgustingly skinny one of the speakers was) and self proclaimed experts who were only experts in their own mind based on the fact that they had an opinion on the subject.

The ticketed audience was girls / women from late teens to late 20’s. With a smattering of early 30‘S /40’s. I’d say a good 90% of the younger girls were entirely obsessed and fully influenced by people on social media and social media presence. These girls have grown up believing they are defined by what they have and what they look like is the most important thing in life ... and social media influence is a very real thing.
Many of them mentioned they wouldn’t go out on a night if they didn’t look right or they felt fat, or their lips didn’t look right , many suggested they had to stop looking at social media as it made them feel bad about themselves because of the constant comparisons.
They wouldn’t socialise unless they were going to a place that would look good on social media.
It really is staggering the impact these vapid influencers have - so when they lie , and fake certain lifestyles , it truly is impacting vulnerable impressionable girls.
I’ve got 2 girls and unfucking the damage caused by self obsessed narcissists is a full time job!
